This recognition belongs to our amazing team, the young people who trust us with their stories, and the incredible community that continues to support what we do.

For us, it’s always been about creating a space where young people feel heard, supported and valued — and making sure mental health support is accessible when and where it’s needed.

A huge thank you to the person who nominated jupiter, to our wonderful community, partners and supporters, and to the 7NEWS judging panel for recognising the work happening across our community. 💚

At jupiter – space to talk, we know that wellbeing is about more than counselling.

Our Recreation & Well-being Program combines movement, mental health support and practical life skills to help young people build confidence, resilience and healthier lifestyles in a way that feels engaging and supportive.

Through one-on-one sessions with our qualified Personal Trainer/Counsellor, young people can:
💪 Improve their physical health through personalised fitness activities
🥗 Learn about healthy nutrition and everyday wellbeing
💙 Build coping strategies for stress, anxiety and low mood
🌱 Develop life skills like goal setting, communication and problem-solving
🤝 Feel connected in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment

Delivered from OUR Gym Nelson Bay, the program is designed to meet each young person where they're at, creating a space where they can grow physically, emotionally and socially.

Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, and Mr Dennis Wilson have graciously accepted the role of Joint Vice Regal Patrons of KYDS.

This is an incredible recognition of the work KYDS does to support young people and families — and one that belongs to the whole community.

As part of the KYDS family, we’re so proud to celebrate this moment and grateful to everyone who helps make access to mental health support possible. 🌟

This is the highest form of Vice Regal recognition available to a not-for-profit organisation in NSW and is a wonderful acknowledgement of the work being done to support young people and their families.
