Museum of Concrete Update!

Over the past few months we have been working on the Business Case Study for the Museum of Concrete initiative at Kandos Museum.

This effort has been lead by Stafford Strategy, a leading consultancy in the tourism and culture with a special eye towards what makes economic sense.

We asked Stafford Strategy to give us a "without fear or favour" assessment of the Museum of Concrete with 3 big questions, "would there be an audience?", "do the numbers stack up?" and "could the Museum of Concrete be the cornerstone visitor attraction to the Kandos & Rylstone region with 30,000 visits per year?"

The report is in and the answer to all three questions, and more, is YES!

What's next? A deep dive effort to secure funding to bring the Museum of Concrete to "shovel ready" with Architecture, Engineer and Content development done an with DA and CC in place. Here's to 2026!!

Doctors 4 Mudgee Region is delivering real results in improving healthcare access across our communities.

This community-led initiative brings together representatives from Council, the mining sector, medical centres, the local hospital, and the broader community.

In a major milestone, Gulgong has welcomed a new GP this month after 18 months without one. A second doctor has also been secured, commenced in Mudgee Medical Centre.

With financial incentives, relocation support, and ongoing recruitment underway, Doctors 4 Mudgee Region is strengthening local healthcare for the long term.
