We were very excited to have some new faces join us today for our monthly sewing bee! Three first bags were made, as well as helpers with the various other tasks involved in getting donated fabrics sorted, cut and prepped for being sewn into reusable bags for the community, and lots of fresh donations!

Looking forward to another sustainably minded evening with Blacktown Council hosting the Clothing Exchange to facilitate residents in rehoming some of their unwanted clothing. Boomerang Bags will be handing out bags to the participates to take their newly found clothing as well!

We’re hosting a Community Sewing Bee, and we’d love for you to join us! We are a not-for-profit group where we come together to sew tote bags and other handsewn goodies, which we make to order, or resell within the community. This isn’t a sewing class—it’s a chance to roll up your sleeves, have some fun, and put your sewing skills to great use! Bring your sewing machine (if you have one) and any sewing essentials you love using. We’ll provide the fabric and a welcoming space to create. Alternatively, if you don't know how to sew, we are also looking for volunteers to do the following: Iron and/or cut out fabric or sort fabric.
At the end of the session, the items stay with us, ready to be sold and make a difference. Plus, there’ll be tea, coffee, and great company! ☕✨
Come along, meet like-minded people, and stitch for a cause! Looking forward to sewing with you 😊

We’re hosting a Community Sewing Bee, and we’d love for you to join us! It’s all hands on deck as we stitch our way to market day on Sat 9th!
