"PASKO SA BARRIO"
21 November 2026
Rocklea Showgrounds, Ipswich Road, Rocklea

Following our earlier announcement regarding the rescheduling of Barrio Fiesta Brisbane, a review of the June community events calendar revealed significant saturation across Southeast Queensland. Multiple Philippine Independence Day celebrations are being held back- to -back in Brisbane, Logan, the Gold Coast, regional areas, as well as the Philippine Consulateโ€™s official Independence Day event.
Given this succession of major community activities, holding Barrio Fiesta in June risked fragmented attendance, reduced vendor/ stallholdersโ€™ visibility, and a diminished overall impact for all participants.
In light of these considerations, we have made the strategic decision to hold Barrio Fiesta Brisbane in November, allowing the event to stand on its own and maximise community engagement.
This year, the festival will proudly adopt a Christmas theme โ€” โ€œPASKO SA BARRIOโ€ โ€” reflecting the deep cultural significance of Filipino Christmas traditions centred on family, generosity, faith, music, and shared food.
Although the date has shifted, the theme remains strongly aligned with our June focus on celebrating Filipino culture and heritage. โ€œPasko sa Barrioโ€ offers a meaningful and culturally resonant way to honour our traditions while providing the community with a vibrant, unified celebration.
To be participate, or for inquiries please send us a message and the links to the relevant form will be available to you. Maraming Salamat.

SALAMAT PO! Australia ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ
A Cultural Community Celebration of Gratitude to Australia
26 January - Australia Day - Brisbane, Queensland
10:00am - 3:00pm; St James Catholic Parish, Coorparo
The Filipino Barrio Fiesta Brisbane Inc. proudly announces Salamat Po Australia , a cultural community celebration that conveys heartfelt gratitude from the migrant community to Australia, an initiative by the Filipino community through Bario Fiesta Brisbane Inc.
This inclusive event highlights the Filipino migrant journeyโ€”reflecting on the reasons that brought families to Australia, the opportunities embraced, and the stories now woven into the broader Australian narrative. Through prayers, songs, and cultural sharing, the Filipino community affirms: We too are part of the Australian story.
The celebration begins on Australia Day with Pasalamat, a Thanksgiving Eucharistic Mass. This solemn act of gratitude sets the tone for a day filled with cultural performances, community sharing, and expressions of unity.
SALAMAT PO! Australia also pays deep respect to the nationโ€™s First Peoples, whose history and connection to Country span more than 65,000 years. By honoring this legacy, the Filipino community acknowledges its place within Australiaโ€™s multicultural fabric and celebrates the values of diversity, respect, and belonging.
โ€œThis is more than a festivityโ€” it is a gesture of thanks, a celebration of unity, and a recognition that our stories are now part of Australiaโ€™s story,โ€ said Honey Binny, President of Filipino Barrio Fiesta Brisbane Inc.

With deep gratitude, this celebration is made possible with the assistance of the Australia Government through the National Australia Day Council.
