Who left the Rewilding Moorooka event feeling inspired? 🌸💚
One of the big take-home messages for us is that there are so many ways to make a difference for the environment. You don’t have to work in conservation or dedicate your career to it - you can start with the things you already love.
Wildlife photography, citizen science, planting native plants, putting up a nest box or bee hotel, 🐝 supporting green spaces or even thinking about the coffee you buy (thanks Renegade Roasters and Bean on the Green Cafe Moorooka). There’s a place for everyone in conservation ☕️.
Our speaker line-up certainly got the green juices flowing. We heard from Tasman about birding, Brad Lambert from Toohey Forest Wildlife, Wesley Nielsen from Comfy Creatures, Cr. Steve Griffiths from Rewilding Moorooka, Fred and Denise from Rotate and Martin from Geckoes Wildlife who had the next gen falling for local wildlife of all shapes and scales, fur and feathers.
And we couldn’t have pulled it off without Kirstin from Rewilding Moorooka, Perrin and Tanya from Lilly-Lee Gallery & Studios, Anthony from the Oxley Men’s Shed and Sasha from Community Bank Acacia Ridge.
A big shout out to Community Bank Acacia Ridge for supporting this event and Cr Steve Griffiths - Moorooka Ward Councillor!!
Thanks to everyone who came along to make it such a fun morning! ☀️
