Another WOW! meeting Tuesday 11 March 2026:

- Visit by Area 4 Director and past District 69 Director, Shane Cooper (DTM);

- Putting the “Toast” into Toastmasters – special Table Topics lead by Charlene;

- Polished chairing by Chandra set a lively pace;

- Two new guests happily took up the challenge of Table Topics;

- Members Zoomed-in from Springsure;

- Great atmosphere and meals at CocoBrew Rockhampton!

… and yes, we also fitted in two excellent speeches – Geoff shared an upcoming presentation from his PhD analysing the challenges long-term community engagement and Narelle took a feline perspective on leadership for her pathways speech: “The Path of the Paws”

Another great meeting demonstrating what can be done when 15 participants have fun together and contribute their most.

Are you leading but no one is following? Consider Toastmasters – excellent speakers – excellent listeners - learning leadership together! We meet every second Tuesday, 6pm to 8pm at CocoBrew – next 26 March.

Our (postponed) first meeting of the year is now taking place on Tuesday 3rd February 2026 at 6.15 pm in the conference room at CocoBrew Rockhampton. Login to our WWW site and register for roles - thanks.

We will hold an additional meeting on Tuesday 10th February (also in the conference room) to bring us back in line with our fortnightly schedule. Next meeting on 24 February is also in the conference room.

Alert! Our meeting planned for tonight was so good that we are making you wait one more week to catch up on Tuesday 3 February back at CocoBrew Rockhampton. The 2026 Northern Division Conference is coming up on February 7th. The conference will consist of speech contests, guest speakers as well as morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea to sustain you during the full-day conference. A perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people and connect with the Toastmasters community.

We had a very fun and wholesome final meeting this week at our final meeting of 2025! The Christmas hats were out in full force and all attendees were dressed in their finest Christmas attire. The Christmas themed trivia also went down a treat, and so did the food platter.

And just like that, the club meetings have concluded for the year. We would like to take this time to thank each and every one of you for a fantastic year and we look forward to seeing you all in 2026!

P.s. Our first meeting of 2026 is on the 27th of January. There are speculations that it could be a perfect opportunity to refine your public speaking skills and gain confidence in articulating yourself. But we guess you'll have to come along to find out ;)

It was a hat-tastic night at our fortnightly meeting last night. Members and guests were invited to wear a hat that meant something to them in any way (funny, sentimental etc.) and flaunt it for the entire meeting.

And of course, some great speeches and discussions ensued. Hats off to everyone that came along!

It's Speech Contest time!

On November 1st a handful of speakers from our club will be entering a Toastmasters speech contest in Boyne Island. The contest will welcome speakers from clubs in the nearby areas including Yeppoon and Gladstone. Our members will be competing in four different speech categories on the day: International, Humorous, Table Topics (Impromptu Speaking) and Evaluation.

Whether you're a public speaking fan, a curious guest or just looking for a fun and uplifting event, this is your invitation to be part of something special.
