There is something truly special that happens when our people come together. For families separated by towns, cities, states and even oceans, opportunities to gather and fellowship become more than simply sharing a space — they remind us of who we are, where we come from and the connections that continue to bind our South Sea Islander families near and far. ❤️🖤💚

Creating opportunities for our people to connect strengthens our sense of belonging, allows stories, laughter, food, memories and culture to be shared, it helps keep our people and traditions strong for generations to come. This is a testament to the positive ripple effect that community and fellowship can create.

A heartfelt thank you to Douglas Farmer from Mackay, QLD, and Robert and Jacque Efimenko from Rockhampton, QLD, for your thoughtfulness and generous donation to RASSICA.

Thank you community for attending our community lunch on the weekend.

We raised $1,300 and sent all home belly full of good food and the best cheer!

Our last Community Lunch was postponed due to some of our South Sea Islander elders passing.

We are back on board and ready to host another lunch for community to gather over a delicious hot meal.

THANK YOU to our community that come out on a fresh morning yesterday to grab their fav sweets to enjoy with their warm cuppas.

We raised $723 that will go back into the RASSIC Hall for upkeep and maintenance as always.
