Following our Annual General Meeting last week, we're pleased to share our 2025 Annual Report, highlighting the achievements, impact and milestones of the past year.

The report reflects the collective efforts of our learners, participants, staff, volunteers, partners, funders and supporters, and showcases how we continue to strengthen communities through education, employment and social inclusion programs.

Our AGM also provided an opportunity to reflect on the year that was, celebrate our successes, and look ahead to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to Prace's work and impact over the past year!

This week for , we come together to deepen our understanding of our shared cultures and histories, recognising both the progress made and the work that still lies ahead to achieve a truly just and reconciled Australia.

This year's theme, All In, encourages all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.

"The theme also reminds us that reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights isn’t a passive activity, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people, who have carried the weight of championing, explaining and acting for far too long. Reconciliation will not happen by itself, and it will not happen without all of us." - Reconciliation Australia

May 26, 2026 marks the 29th anniversary of the tabling of the 'Bringing Them Home' report (1997).

This landmark report was the first government inquiry to formally document the experiences of Stolen Generations survivors and the lasting impacts of forced removal policies on individuals, families and communities.

"A generation on, many of these crucial actions have not been taken...

Sorry without action is not enough. This year’s national theme, From Sorry to Action, reflects expectations that governments take urgent steps to create tangible and measurable change within survivors’ lifetimes.

This moment demands leadership, accountability and action.

We encourage you to mark National Sorry Day on 26 May, and to stand with us to ensure this day is part of an ongoing commitment to truth-telling, healing and justice." - The Healing Foundation

Today is an opportunity for all Australians to learn and acknowledge the truth of Stolen Generations history, and the continuing, intergenerational impacts of these past forced removal policies.

From classmates to lifelong friends...meet Tony and Fiaz!

Tony and Fiaz met in our Certificate I in English as an Additional Language class and quickly became friends, despite speaking different languages when they first met.

What started as shared learning grew into a wonderful friendship that now connects both their families through family dinners, outings, and a genuine friendship.

A beautiful reminder of how community education can bring people together!
