This week we recognise Lenore Smith as she steps down as NMCA Vice President and Women’s Manager.
Across 19 years as a senior men’s scorer, 16 years on the board, 11 as Women’s Manager and 4 as Vice President, her contribution has been nothing short of outstanding.
Lenore built the NMCA Women’s competition from the ground up; now the 5th largest in Victoria, with 4 grades and 28 teams across 4 associations and helped shape competitions beyond the NMCA.
A Life Member, with the Women’s Shield named in her honour, her legacy speaks for itself.
From Presentation Nights to key initiatives like the Black Friday fundraiser and Women’s T10s, her impact across both the women’s and men’s game has been immense.
