Our Care and Support Industry Practice Network Coordinator, Olivia, recently visited Prace for a site visit, providing a great opportunity to share ideas and discuss initiatives supporting learners and local communities.

As a fellow Learn Local provider and RTO, PRACE plays an important role in creating pathways to education, training and employment. Learn Local organisations help people build skills, confidence and connections, creating pathways to further education, training and employment.

We’re proud to share that Prace at Merrilands Community Centre is now part of the Victorian Government's ‘Free pads and tampons in public places’ initiative.

This program helps to ensure pads and tampons are available when and where they’re needed.

Across Victoria, free vending machines are being installed in public spaces to improve access, reduce stigma, and support the health and wellbeing of the community.

Our two free vending machines are accessible to all visitors.

You can find them conveniently located near the toilets in both the front and back buildings at Merrilands Community Centre, 35 Sturdee Street, Reservoir 3073.

Struggling with unpaid fines?

You may be able to reduce your fine debt while building new skills at Prace through the Work and Development Permit (WDP) Scheme, a Victorian Government initiative administered by Fines Victoria.

The WDP Scheme provides a non-financial way for eligible vulnerable or disadvantaged individuals to work towards clearing outstanding fines, including infringement fines.

Getting started is simple:

🟣 Apply for the WDP Scheme at no cost
🟣 Enrol in a Prace course or activity (course fees may apply)
🟣 Attend your classes
🟣 Reduce your fine debt for every hour that you learn!

Current Prace students are also encouraged to apply.
