Queanbeyan & District Dog Training Club

Queanbeyan & District Dog Training Club To promote responsible dog ownership. Learn how to socialize your dog with other dogs and learn obedience.

We provide obedience training for Queanbeyan, Queanbeyan District and Canberra region. We are a not-for-profit organisation which is supported entirely by our volunteers. Our primary aim is to promote responsible dog ownership in and around the Queanbeyan District. This includes teaching handlers the basics of dog obedience training by using positive motivation methods. The club meets at the Hoover Road grounds in Queanbeyan on Sunday mornings during NSW school terms.

The Majura Training Area have let us know that there will be training activities involving explosives from 29 June to 5 July, starting from 7.30am and finishing before nightfall.

The activities will generate noise and vibrations that may be heard or felt in our area. Weather conditions on the day often determine the extent of the noise.

There is no cause for alarm, however dog owners may want to consider making arrangements if they have an anxious dog. Tips include putting your dog in your garage with a radio on as background noise and ensuring your dog is secure and not able to run away in fear of the noise.
