Danielle Eyre (Regional National Resource Manager) from the Peel Harvey Catchment Council was the guest speaker at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Pinjarra.

The Vision and Mission of this organisation include people working together to create a healthy environment.
$5,000,000 is provided by the Federal Government, with additional funding from the State Government, to conduct various local projects.
Some of the projects include Nutrient Analysis Data, testing water quality, cockatoo nesting status, fish population studies, and more.

The Peel Harvey Catchment Council will shortly be renamed as 5 Rivers NRM (Natural Resource Management).
Details about the projects can be found on the website

Our region is full of amazing geology, rich culture, and deep Bindjareb history — and at our recent Rotary evening, we were reminded just how special it is.
We were lucky to hear from Allan Briggs, President of Geoparks WA, who shared his vision for the Bindjareb Geopark and his hope that it will one day achieve UNESCO Global Geopark status.

It’s a big dream for our community — and one worth getting excited about.

Thank you, Allan, for sharing your passion and inspiring us all to see our region in a new light.
