Seniors Expedition to Lamington National Park

This month a team of 8 Brigaders conquered steep climbs, torrential rain, leech infested jungle and aching lungs! It was a time of almost giving up… but they didn’t. Instead they discovered what it takes to persevere, power through and accomplish something hard.

Because that’s what Boys’ Brigade does: it builds young men - step by step - into leaders who don’t shrink from a challenge….but rise to meet it!

Mt. Barney Expedition ⛰️
Over the weekend our boys completed a successful hike in the Mt. Barney national park. There were 2 trips:
1. Cronin Creek and Forestry camp 🏕️
2. Summit crew🏔️

Thanks to gear funded by the Moreton Bay City Council and the support of our leaders we were able send a large amount of boys up the mountain.

This trip is just one of the reasons why boys are able to get into the outdoors and challenge themselves while attending a Boys Brigade company.

It all starts here at 1st Moreton Bay! 🧭

Leadership Commissioning 🔥
Tonight we commissioned the boys who are attending Leadership 2026 and marking the initiation of their individual journeys as leaders 🧭.

It provides boys the opportunity to feel supported by one another and have the confidence in Gods provision and their own abilities.

At Boys’ Brigade we believe boys thrive and grow through challenge, through tasks that test and moments that demand something deeper. This weekend was all that with boys paddling unfamiliar boats, straining against the tide and wind. To celebrating birthdays, cooking up feasts, catching fish and learning how to pivot to a better plan. With 12 boats and 22 participants from Kallangur & Caboolture they had this amazing opportunity to grow 💪 well done guys 😎
