Capital Coast, in review.

On Thursday 15 October, the inaugural Capital Coast brought Queensland's deep tech founders and investors together at the UniSC Innovation Centre in Sippy Downs. 93 ventures submitted an expression of interest, and 35 made the curated cohort: 33 in one-to-one investor meetings, 12 on exhibition booths and 3 pitching live.

The day in numbers:
299 attendees
155 ventures registered
201 one-to-one meetings
30 investors in the room
A$131.5 billion in represented capital

Congratulations to Carbon Asset Solutions, who won the live pitch session and take home the AI Founder Coach and Collider package, and to ProteinLink and ProxGrid, who won the exhibition booth award. ProxGrid is one of our own: a Startup Lab Cohort 1 venture, building right here in City of Moreton Bay. Well done too to Equilibrium Aerospace and FlyOnE for pitching live on stage.

This was the first edition, and the organisers are already looking forward to the sequel next year. So are we.
