A heartfelt hank you to Reverend Pat Deeny, Priest in Charge at St Christophers Anglican Church in City Beach, for inviting us to attend a recent musical concert in support of Solaris Cancer Care.

The talented Barnabas singers treated guests to a wonderful evening of music. It was so special for us to connect with the community and share more about the work Solaris does to support people affected by cancer.

A percentage of the ticket sales raised have been kindly donated to Solaris to support individuals, their carers and families impacted by cancer.

Thank you for your generosity πŸ’›

Opportunities like this mean so much. Not only do they help raise vital funds, but they also help us raise awareness of the services Solaris provides.

Did you know Solaris Cancer Care is over 96% community funded?

Our services depend entirely on public donations, corporate partnerships and the generosity of our amazing volunteers. We are so proud of the way our community come together time and again to fundraise, support and spread awareness of the work we do.

This tax time you can help ensure no one faces cancer alone. From the moment someone walks through our doors, your generosity helps them access the services they need, when they need them most.

Help Solaris Cancer Care continue to provide essential, personalised support for people diagnosed and living with cancer around WA. Solaris has services available in the Pilbara, Perth and surrounds, Bunbury, Busselton, Collie, Blackwood River Region, Harvey and surrounding areas.

Every donation over $2 is a tax deduction - thank you πŸ’›

This deserves a place on our grid - the Solaris Tax Appeal Launch for 2026. Such a fun day but also a heartfelt and important reminder that the work Solaris does is vital for our community and the people we help each day. That work is only possible
because of the generosity of our supporters.

There’s something incredibly moving about hearing stories of hope, resilience and survival in the middle of life’s hardest moments. They stay with you πŸ’›

Simon Beaumont did a fantastic job once again!
Speaking to people like Tanita who is receiving treatment for breast cancer and going well - she's enjoying the benefits of several Solaris therapies and
her friend Alex also spoke, who really loves the Op Shop.
And Vito - who has been coming to Solaris since his wife Susan passed away. He spoke of the dark cloud that comes over you in grief and how finding a Solaris
pamphlet lead him to getting some support here.

β€œSolaris offers a road map to get through the stage you're in - be it just diagnosed, going through treatment or a partner or parent grieving"

Anton, who sizzled at the BBQ, made a $500 donation with his daughter Maz, in honour of his wife who enjoyed coming to Solaris.

There are so many stories - we'll be sharing more of them as part of our Tax Appeal over coming weeks.

Every single person who turned up on the day - to listen, to tell their story, to run the Op Shop, the coffee van, man the BBQ, to make a donation - there's a
whole team of people who make launch day happen and we are so thankful for each of you!

If you'd like to make a tax deductible donation, we'd welcome your generosity.

'I was told the cancer was terminal. It was overwhelming, but I refused to give up hope.'

When Janet travelled from her home in Port Hedland to Perth at the very beginning of her cancer diagnosis, she connected with Solaris. We were able to provide immediate support for both her and husband, Greg - including being with them during their first results appointment.

"We weren't alone. They helped us understand what the doctors were saying.'

Compassionate, person-centred care is the cornerstone of Solaris. We walk alongside West Australians facing the challenges of cancer every day.

Help us continue helping those affected by making a donation this tax time.
Your generous gift will go directly towards helping people like Janet - solariscancercare.org.au/get-involved/donate-now

Megan and Sam from our Regional Support Team, along with Tony Hume, CEO, have been in the Pilbara this week visiting the amazing teams in Newman and surrounding areas. They have been meeting with hospitals and local support networks as we continue our essential work ensuring people from regional communities diagnosed with cancer can access the vital care and support they need when travelling to Perth for diagnosis and treatment.

Through our partnerships with hospitals and support groups across the region, Solaris Cancer Care is also able to continue supporting patients once they return home.

Thanks to the generous support of Hancock Iron Ore and Hancock Prospecting, no one in the Pilbara has to walk this journey alone.

Solaris Cancer Care provides:

πŸ’› Counselling and emotional support

πŸ’› Guidance navigating diagnosis and treatment plans

πŸ’› Assistance with PATS, travel and accommodation

πŸ’› Access to world-class therapies designed to help ease treatment side effects

If you know someone in the Pilbara who is going through cancer, please encourage them to reach out to our team.

Up, up and away! βœˆοΈπŸ’›

We can’t say we’ve had many cheque presentations in a plane before, but we absolutely loved this one.

With thanks to the - their Club Captain Haydn Vernon recently presented Solaris Cancer Care's CEO Tony Hume with a cheque for $1,170 raised from their Annual Rotto Bun Run.

It’s always incredibly special to be chosen as part of community fundraising efforts like these. Not only do the funds help us continue supporting people affected by cancer, but they also remind our clients that they really matter.

We’re continually inspired by the creative and generous ways our community finds to fundraise for Solaris. Every initiative ... big or small ... makes a genuine difference.

Thank you from all our clients, the volunteers and staff at Solaris Cancer Care.

If your club or group would like to partner with Solaris in a fundraiser - please get in touch!

It is National Volunteer Week and we are so grateful for our 230 volunteers who give so much time. We would not be able to support as many people as we do, without you.

Show our volunteers some love and say thank you in the comments πŸ’ͺπŸ’›
