We are delighted to be part of the Awesome Festival again this year with The Extraordinary Adventures of Furry Friends: An Original Story with Live Music!
Performed by Emma, Ben and Henry Vanderval, Helen Kruger, Elizabeth and George Brian and Chris Foster.

Inspired by their beloved pets, this charming family performance welcomes all to a story of furry friendships, brave moments, and joyful surprises. Told in a story-time style with live music, each scene comes to life with sound. Two generations of the Vanderwal and Kruger families narrate and perform live music, creating a unique musical experience for all ages. Perfect for families, this performance celebrates imagination, music, and our special bond with animals.

Don’t miss our Coffee Cantata on Sunday October 4 in Kalamunda at this wonderful new Chamber Music Festival!

12pm & 2pm The Coffee Cantata
Decadence, drama and delight abound in Bach’s Coffee Cantata as you’ve never seen it before! Schlendrian (Brett Peart) tries various punishments to force Lieschen (Prudence Sanders) to quit drinking coffee—withholding new clothes, blocking her from walking out, and refusing to let her go to social gatherings. Lieschen remains defiant until her father declares he will not let her find a husband. She relents on one condition: her future husband must explicitly agree in the wedding contract to let her brew coffee whenever she pleases!

Fully costumed, with a comic contemporary spin, this colourfully staged show presents Bach’s cantata depicting the rise of coffee addiction. Set in Eighteenth Century Germany and served with a sweet treat, this show has been widely performed to sell-out festival audiences throughout the UK.
Sessions: 12pm & 2pm
