Join us on Saturday 24 October, for a full day of nature-based activities, expert advice, family fun and opportunities to connect with your local environment.

📌 Explore the plants and wildlife of Star Swamp Reserve on a guided walk with the Friends of Star Swamp at 8.00am and 10.30am

📌 Learn about Nyoongar culture and the cultural significance of Star Swamp on a guided walk with Justin from Djurandi Dreaming at 9.30am and 11.00am

📌 Meet local community groups such as Coastal Community Garden, Wildflower Society of Western Australia Inc., WA Naturalists' Club, Sustainable Stirling and Teachers for Climate

📌 Learn more about the environment with Angela Rossen, ReWild Perth, Perth NRM, Jane Chambers from NatureLink, BirdLife Western Australia, WA Loves Nature and SERCUL

📌 Enjoy wildlife displays with Critters Up Close and WA Birds of Prey Centre

📌 Browse the art and photography exhibition by Friends of Star Swamp and students from North Beach Primary School in collaboration with Kate Driscoll and Brendan Kinsella

We are very grateful to be the recipients of donations made in the WildArt Bird Photography Awards!

With the generous donations Perth NRM is launching an exciting new initiative to grow Cockatoo Cafés across Perth, to provide essential food for endangered cockatoos.

Our first round of Cockatoo Cafe Expressions of Interest will open soon!

We’re teaming up with Trillion Trees Australia to create ready-to-go packs of Hakeas and Banksias, carefully selected for small, medium and large spaces.

There’ll be a suitable size for everyone to apply, even schools!

Commencing with thanks to generous donations from WildArt, these seedling packs will be significantly subsidised, making it easier and more affordable to create a Cockatoo Café.

🐝 Our very own Luke McMillan has been hard at work creating more stunning native bee hotels for our ReWild Perth Demonstration Garden.

We're in the planning stages of developing a guide so that you can create your own version of these stylish pieces of habitat and turn your garden into a native bee haven!

We currently don't have an ETA, but keep your eyes on our socials 👀

A massive thanks also to High End Timber for supplying the timber.
