Last Sunday, 26 youths from across BLIA Scouts Sydney came together at Nan Tien Temple to celebrate the meaningful occasion of Sangha Offering.

With joyful hearts, our youths presented the dance 《Kind-Hearted Child 善良的孩子》, dedicating their performance with gratitude and respect to all Venerables. Through weeks of practice, teamwork and encouragement, they transformed a beautifully choreographed dance into more than just a performance—it became an offering from the heart.

The true meaning of Sangha Offering lies not only in making material offerings, but also in cultivating gratitude, respect and generosity, while supporting the Sangha in preserving and sharing the Dharma.

Seeing our youths dance with such happiness reminded us that a kind heart can be nurtured from a young age. Through the Three Acts of Goodness—Do Good Deeds, Speak Good Words, Think Good Thoughts—may they continue to grow with compassion, wisdom and joy.

A joyful dance, a grateful heart, and a sincere offering.❤️

State Rally 2026 — What an Amazing Weekend! 🏕️⚜️

What an unforgettable State Rally for our BLIA Scouts! Our youths pushed beyond their comfort zones, completing 15 challenging activities with courage, teamwork and joyful hearts — achieving an amazing 4th place in the South Metropolitan Region! We are incredibly proud of them.

While our youths embraced every adventure, our leaders had plenty of fun too at Base Activity 21 — “Rock the World”, rocking the Elvis theme! 🎸

We were also honoured to meet NSW Chief Commissioner Belinda Howell.

A wonderful weekend of friendship, resilience, laughter and growth. Looking forward to attend again next year.

It was a great weekend! Proud of all scouters who participated! 🥰

Time travellers and dinosaurs, meteors and obstacle courses – State Rally 2026 had it all!

With more than 1800 Scouts, Venturer Scouts, Rover Scouts, Girl Guides, Leaders, and adult volunteers on site at Cataract Activity Centre, near Appin, the event delivered activities packed with adventure, energy and the unmistakeable Scouting spirit, all set against the theme of “Race Against Time”.

Yesterday 1st August, our BLIA Scouts celebrated World Scarf Day by wearing our Scout scarves with pride and bringing the Scout spirit into our local community. Met fire fighters and sending our gratitude to their dedication. Along the way, we met many local business owners, Sydney train staffs, local residents who were inspired to learn more about Scouting. We were delighted to had Our District Commissioner Helen Dwyer and Venturer Commissioner came along! ❤️

It was a day filled with meaningful encounters, where doing good deeds, speaking good words, and thinking good thoughts became living actions. Through giving confidence, giving joy, giving hope, and giving convenience (4G), we strengthened friendships and built bridges within our community. By practising harmony within ourselves, respect for one another, family harmony, social harmony, and peace in the world (5H).

As Scouts, we strive to Be Prepared—prepared not only with skills, but with compassionate hearts ready to serve. Every smile shared, every “thank you” spoken, and every act of kindness reminds us that even the smallest good deed can brighten someone’s day. What a truly joyful and fruitful World Scarf Day, celebrating service, friendship, and the belief that together we can make our community a kinder and more harmonious place.
