Due to the generosity of individuals and small businesses we are able to continue our Friday hampers
Crisis Hampers available on Fridays from 12.10pm (bookings only)-
Ring the Centre on 9439-2470 to book in - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9am-3pm (Closed Wednesdays)
Can only be accessed once a fortnight (to make it fair on everyone)
We do not ask for healthcare cards, or any of your financial information. Don't forget to bring your bags

🫶History of Vegemite
Vegemite was developed in response to a shortage of Marmite imports from the United Kingdom after World War I. Dr. Cyril Percy Callister, a chemist and food technologist, created the spread using leftover yeast extract from the brewing process. Although it initially struggled to gain popularity, Vegemite eventually became a beloved national product, especially after being included in Australian soldiers' rations during World War II.

💜 Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. 💜

This is the final video in our three-part series, and we would like to sincerely thank everyone who generously shared their time, thoughts and voices to help raise awareness of this important issue.

Elder abuse is often hidden, overlooked or misunderstood, yet it affects far too many older people in our communities. Through these videos, we hope to encourage conversations, increase understanding and remind people that every older person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and kindness.

If this series has made you stop, reflect, start a conversation, check in on a loved one, or see things from a different perspective, then it has achieved its purpose.

Together, we can help create communities where older people feel safe, valued and heard.
