Community Mothers Program

Community Mothers Program Connecting local families with community, services and each other. All Community Mothers attend regular training and mentoring sessions.

The Community Mothers Program is made up of local volunteers who provide free support to families living in the cities of Kwinana, Cockburn and the suburb of Baldivis. The aim of the program is to bring connection and support to families in the early years of parenting. The Community Mothers Program is available to families with babies and children under the age of five. Upon joining the program,

a Community Mother is matched with your family and they will visit you at home, in a local park or wherever you feel most comfortable. The purpose of the Community Mother is to provide confidential and non-judgmental support on your parenting journey. They will also help to connect you with your local community, health and parenting services, such as playgroups, support programs and other local activities. We do not provide home help services (such as cleaning or child-minding) but may be able to connect you to services who do. A Community Mother is typically assigned for a 6-month period, however this can be revised to best suit your family’s needs. Our Community Mothers:
Our Community Mothers are compassionate local volunteers, who have all experienced the ups and downs of parenting. They are there to walk alongside you with empathy and understanding, empowering you to be the best parent you can be. How to get support:
We accept referrals from individuals as well as professionals. Email [email protected] for more information.
