The Burn
By Jessica Mansour-Nahra
Australia is plunged into lockdown due to devastating bushfires. Everyone is in solitude.
Carmen, Elena, Dan and Rhett, four friends since Uni join together for a road trip as soon as lockdown is lifted.
Dan organises all the accommodation and fails to tell the others it is all off grid. (They have to hike to the cabins, there is no running water, no phones or internet) The cabins are in the middle of the forest.
The four friends have all changed, and all have secrets that gradually spill out. On the final day as the bushfire gains momentum, they all have to find a way out but who can they trust. As the bushfire races towards them, who will make it back alive.
