A Volunteer at The Neighbourhood Centre (12 Ross St, Oberon) can help you gain more experience practicing English / Australian conversation.

Lessons are for an hour per week and you can tell your tutor what you need help with eg. Australian culture, working in Australia, Australia way of living etc.

Staying Home Leaving Violence Program Information Session in Oberon this week!

When: Thursday, 11th June 2026.
Time: 11:00am - 12:30am.
Where: Oberon Library, 74A Dart Street, Oberon NSW 2787.
Morning Tea will be provided.

The Staying Home Leaving Violence program is a specialised domestic and family violence program that aims to reduce risk to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence and prevent them from experiencing homelessness.

How they can help:
- Prevent homelessness
- Property security
- Immediate DFV specialist support
- First Nations DFV specialist support
- Safety planning
- Risk assessment
- Police and court support
- Referrals to specialist health services
- Referrals to internal and external support programs
- Assistance accessing victim services
