The ASEA Score Card System

The ASEA Score Card System is designed to provide more than just a placing — it delivers valuable feedback, consistency and education for exhibitors, breeders and judges alike.

Used at selected ASEA shows, the Score Card System evaluates each horse against the same clear standard, rewarding quality, correctness and movement rather than simply comparing horses against one another.

Why the Score Card System matters:
• Fair and consistent judging
• Detailed feedback and scoring
• Encourages learning and improvement
• Recognises true quality and breed type
• Supports the future of the small equine industry

At ASEA, we believe judging should be transparent, educational and rewarding for everyone involved.

Did any one want a copy sent to them, maybe you lost yours? Or just wanted a copy 😀.

They are free and just need to cover postage.

I just want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to the incredible team behind ASEA.

Putting together an event like Nationals takes a huge amount of work, and so much of it happens quietly behind the scenes. From the planning and preparation, to the setup, running of the rings, coordinating judges, entries, results and everything in between. It simply wouldn’t happen without a dedicated group of people giving their time and energy to make it all come together.

What I’m most proud of is that, regardless of any outside noise, the team has remained completely committed to the goals we set from the beginning: creating a friendly, enjoyable show atmosphere that supports our competitors while encouraging healthy competition.

The vision has always been to create an environment where people can compete, celebrate great horses, and still be supportive of each other’s wins. Seeing exhibitors cheering each other on, congratulating one another and enjoying the experience together shows that the spirit of the event is exactly where it should be.

So to the ASEA team... thank you for your hard work, your dedication and for staying true to what this event was created to be. It doesn’t go unnoticed, and it’s something we should all be proud of.

And to the competitors who embraced that atmosphere and helped make the event what it was, thank you for being part of it.
