A very exciting day for us here at the Country Universities Centre in Southern Shoalhaven!

We welcomed our 500th registered student into our centre today and of course had cake and candles to celebrate!

A big welcome to Loz - our 500th student who is doing a postgraduate course in women’s pelvic health. She’s a local Physio who is upskilling so she can do even more amazing work in our community 🧡

Thankyou to EVERY student who has registered and walked through our doors since 2022 - we’re so proud of you and grateful for the amazing community we’ve built and continue to grow!!!

Next stop, 1000 students 😜

We had a full house today for our Dhurga Language Workshop to kick off National Reconciliation Week!

A huge thankyou to our facilitators Auntie Trisha Ellis and Gayle Nolan who taught us some basic words and phonemes, and gave us some history on how Dhurga language has been revitalised on the south coast.

If you want to learn Dhurga - the local language - you can express your interest to start studying a certificate 1 at TAFE in July!

If you’re enrolled in any Certificate studying Dhurga language you can register as a CUC student and use the centre for free.
