Eric has performed across orchestral, jazz, commercial, and television settings with artists including Michael Bublé, James Morrison, Hugh Jackman, and Tones and I. Passionate about music education, he enjoys helping musicians build confidence, strong fundamentals, and musical expression.

These sessions will explore:

🎵 Technique and articulation
🎵 Ensemble playing
🎵 Musical interpretation
🎵 A range of styles and genres

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our Woodwind Workshop with Tony Hicks 🎶

The day was split into two sessions, with the morning focusing on technique, sound, and intonation, before moving into improvisation in the afternoon. It was great to see musicians trying new things, asking questions, and learning in a relaxed and supportive environment.

A big thank you to Tony for sharing his time, experience, and knowledge with everyone involved.

🎺 We’re looking forward to continuing the workshop series with our Brass Workshop on Saturday 30 May (this weekend!!) with Eric Budd. We’d love to see some new faces there!

This National Volunteers Week, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to the incredible volunteers who keep our band running. 🎶

From committee members, conductors, librarians and concert organisers, to the people who set up chairs, serve food, sell tickets, move percussion, and support us behind the scenes — our band simply wouldn’t exist without you.

Your time, passion, dedication and community spirit help bring music to our audiences and create a welcoming place for musicians of all ages and backgrounds.

To every volunteer past and present, thank you for everything you do for Cardinia Civic Concert Band. 💙

That’s a wrap on our Mother’s Day Luncheon! 🌸🎶

Thank you so much to everyone who came along to support the band and spend the afternoon with us. A huge thank you also to all of our members, volunteers, and friends who helped make the event possible.

The afternoon was filled with fun, gifts, raffles, poems, and most importantly, music.

It was such a pleasure to have John Wood join us, and we’re excited to announce he’ll be returning for our Annual Concert later this year!

Following the success of our recent percussion workshop, we’re excited to announce that Cardinia Civic Concert Band will also be hosting FREE Woodwind and Brass Workshops over the coming weeks! 🎶

These workshops are a fantastic opportunity for musicians of all ages and experience levels to develop ensemble playing, improve technique, explore improvisation, and learn from experienced professional performers and educators.
