A few photos of some of our deliveries over the weekend.
Our volunteers gave up their long weekend off to go and help farmers in need in northern New South Wales.
Drought conditions there have left farmers struggling to feed their remaining stock over winter

We covered an area north of the Gwyder Highway to almost the Queensland border, this is on top of our deliveries to an adjoining area over the Anzac Weekend, with more planned in the future.
Our drought relief in NSW is totally funded by you, the Australian public, and the Clubs of Lions Australia and the other service organisations that support us.

Your donation will help make a difference to a farming family in need and is fully tax deductible, just click here https://www.needforfeed.org/donate.html

Or if you have good quality fodder to donate we can arrange to pick it up

Today we caught up with some of our Queensland friends, John and Judy Campbell from Blackbutt-Benarkin Lions

Between floods, drought and fires, we’ve spent a lot of time in Queensland over the years.

As a truly national project and charity, we go where we’re needed when we’re needed.

Thank you Westernport Water for your support for our farmers in need.

This weekend we’ve gone to Adelaide for the Lions Australia National Convention where we’ve just been reappointed as a national project for a further 3 years.

We’ll spend the rest of the weekend collecting donations, selling some merchandise and networking with our supporting Lions Clubs.

Over the weekend many of our crew of volunteers hit the road together to
bring some relief to farmers in far northern New South Wales.

As you will see from the photos, the conditions there are quite shocking.
Most of the farmers we delivered to have not had any rain for the last 5 to 6 months and the last time they got any decent rainfall total was this time last year.
We also know that these conditions are not confined to just this area. It’s much the same to the east, west and south of here and doesn’t stop at the border extending through into parts of southern Queensland.

Our volunteers didn’t wait to find out if there’s any funding, we were asked, we saw the need, we got our supplies together and we went.

With your support we can keep on helping those in need.
You can help us to help them with a tax deductible donation https://www.needforfeed.org/donate.html

If you’re a farmer who has some good quality fodder to donate we can arrange to pick it up https://www.needforfeed.org/fodder-donations.html
