🦁🌭🏐 WHAT. A. DAY! 🏐🌭🦁
Today the Lions Club of Mudgeeraba fired up the BBQ at the Hinterland Netball Carnival, and wow, were we kept busy!
This wasn't your average sausage sizzle. We were cooking and serving: 🌭 Sausages 🍔 Burgers 🥓 Bacon & Egg Burgers 🥓🍔 Bacon, Egg & Burger combinations 😅 ...and just about every variation imaginable!
A HUGE shout out goes to not 1, not 2, not 3, not even 4... but FIVE amazing Leos from Merrimac State High School! 🎉🦁
Your enthusiasm, work ethic and willingness to jump in wherever needed made a massive difference. We simply couldn't have done it without you. The future of service is looking very bright! 💛❤️
Special congratulations to our Club Treasurer Dick, who took on the challenge head-on. Long before the first sausage hit the grill, Dick had the planning, ordering and logistics sorted, with the support of Parrots for Purpose . Your preparation made a very busy day run smoothly. 👏🦁
Fantastic teamwork was also shown by our hardworking Lions: 🦁 Krystal 🦁 Ian 🦁 Mel 🦁 Greg 🦁 Donna 🦁 Mike 🦁 Sharon
And when demand got so high that we started running low on supplies, we needed our very own personal shopper! 🚗💨
A big thank you to Russell, who came to the rescue and kept us stocked up so we could keep feeding the crowds. Absolute champion effort! 🦁👏
The best part of the day was seeing hundreds of young netballers enjoying their sport, surrounded by supportive families and a fantastic community atmosphere. The positive energy around the courts was contagious. 🏐🎊🎉
We're definitely feeling a little tired tonight, but it's the good kind of tired that comes from working together, supporting our community and having plenty of laughs along the way.

Only 2 weeks to go until one of the biggest and best weekends on the local calendar – the Mudgeeraba Show, returning Saturday 27th, and Sunday 28th June! 🤩🎉
Where else can you see magnificent horses soaring over jumps, champion cattle in the ring, talented blacksmiths at work, national champion woodchoppers in action, incredible arts, crafts and photography displays, delicious food, thrilling rides, live entertainment, community groups, local businesses and so much more... all in one place? 🐴🐂🎨🎡🍔
The Mudgeeraba Show is a true celebration of everything that makes our community special. It's a chance to catch up with friends, support local exhibitors, admire the hard work of competitors of all ages, and create memories with the family. ❤️

🦁🎉 Community Service, Planning & a Birthday Surprise! 🎉🦁
The Lions Club of Mudgeeraba held its monthly Board Meeting this week, with plenty on the agenda as we wrapped up another successful Lions service year.
The Board approved a number of end-of-year donations, ensuring funds raised throughout the year are returned to the community where they can make a real difference.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our raffles, BBQs, Christmas cake sales and community events — your support helps make these donations possible.
We also spent time planning and discussing a busy calendar of upcoming events and activities. There is always plenty happening in Lion-land, and we're looking forward to continuing to serve our wonderful Mudgeeraba and Gold Coast community.
Of course, it wouldn't be a Mudgeeraba Lions meeting without a bit of fun and friendship mixed in with the business! 😊
A special surprise was in store for our hardworking Club Treasurer, Dick, who thought he was coming along for a normal Board Meeting. Little did Dick know that WE knew it was his birthday! 🎂🎉

🦁❤️ May Dinner Meeting – Good Food, Great Company & Community Spirit! ❤️🦁
What a fantastic evening for the Lions Club of Mudgeeraba as we gathered for our June dinner meeting at our good friends' restaurant, Krish Indian Robina.
The room was full of smiles, laughter and great conversation as members, partners and guests enjoyed another outstanding meal. A huge thank you to the team at Krish Indian for their warm hospitality and delicious food – they always make us feel welcome and never disappoint!
A special highlight of the evening was welcoming members of the -RobinaRSLsubbranch. We were honoured to receive a cheque in recognition of the support provided by our Lions members during the Anzac Day commemorations. It was a privilege to assist with such an important community event, and we sincerely thank the RSL for their generosity and ongoing partnership.
These evenings are a wonderful reminder of what makes our club so special – friendship, service, community and plenty of fun along the way. Looking around the room and seeing so many happy faces enjoying each other's company was truly heartwarming.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make it another memorable night. Together we continue to make a difference in our community while building friendships that last a lifetime.
