Over the past few weeks, we have been running a Burmese Playgroup pilot at The Parents Hub in collaboration with Sarina Russo Parent Pathways and honestly… the impact has already been so incredibly meaningful. 💛
We are so happy to announce that thanks to Uniting, these can now continue!

What started as a small pilot program has quickly shown us just how important culturally safe, welcoming and community-led spaces are for families navigating the early years while also adjusting to life in a new country.

We’ve watched:
✨ children connect beautifully through play
✨ parents build confidence and friendships
✨ families begin to feel more comfortable within the space
✨ conversations and laughter grow each week
✨ parents express how valuable this connection has been

Many of the families attending experience social isolation, language barriers and challenges accessing supports and services — which can make everyday parenting feel even heavier.

And that’s why spaces like this matter so much.

Not just for the children…
But for the parents too.

Because every family deserves to feel welcomed, included and connected within their community.

We are incredibly proud of this pilot program and so grateful to everyone helping make it possible. A huge thank you to Uniting and Sarina Russo Parent Pathways for making this happen.

As we head into wetter weather, we just wanted to share a few little reminders for our Hub families 💛

We absolutely encourage outdoor play wherever possible, so please bring wet weather gear along for the little ones as the yards can get muddy.

We also kindly ask that wet or muddy shoes are removed at the front door or popped into the bag boxes during groups to help keep our indoor spaces safe and comfortable for everyone.

And as always, a gentle reminder to wash hands regularly to help stop the spread of germs during winter.

Thank you for helping us keep The Parents Hub warm, welcoming and community-minded for all families.

2 years of Sheridan at The Parents Hub 💛

Where do I even begin…

From the moment Sheridan joined our team, she has poured so much love, care and energy into this community and the families within it.

She gives absolutely everything to our members.
She notices the little things.
She genuinely cares.
She makes people feel welcomed, safe and supported.

But behind the scenes, she’s also been such an incredible support for me personally too.

She’s been there during the hard conversations, the overwhelming moments, the self doubt, the “what are we even doing?” chats and all the dreaming, planning and growing in between.

Having Sheridan by my side has allowed The Parents Hub to grow, evolve and create even more impact within our community — and I truly don’t think people realise just how much happens behind the scenes because of her.

She is kind, caring, capable and deeply invested in what we are building here. ✨

Families will have the opportunity to:

🔥 Hear a talk from the CFA team
🔥 Learn about fire safety
🔥 Have a turn using the hose

We are SO excited to officially welcome Little Petals Wellbeing to our new Lilydale Studio this June 💛

Jen and I have been friends for years, so seeing her beautiful classes come to life in this new space feels really special.

Classes include:
✨ Baby Massage (6 weeks – pre crawlers)
✨ Baby Yoga (12 weeks – 8 months)
