Our Discoverers room have been very busy doing experiments. They have mixed up different coloured food colouring and placed some celery sticks in the colour to see if the celery will change its appearance. The children also visited the garden and collected different leaves and studied the different smells, texture and taste. Then it was time for a little painting with eye droppers.đź«źđź«ź

Our early childhood teacher Deki and Jason , set up some fabulous interactive activities to teach the children great dental hygiene.
Our light table was used to highlight all the germs that are present before we brush our teeth. As the children brushed the teeth , all the germs disappeared.
Our children also watched a video on the importance of cleaning their teeth to keep decay away.

Painting with cars and trucks is a lot of messy fun , watching the colours blend together and make other colours.
Our children thought it would be a great idea to wash all the paint off the vehicles at the Sudbury House car wash.

Our children at Sudbury House Early Learning Centre have a wonderful lesson all about spinning wool.
Deny ( Lillys Grandmother) explained to the children where the wool came from ( Alpaca and merino wool) and they were able to feel the difference in the texture of the wool.
Deny showed the children how to comb the fleece after it had been coloured .
Next was spinning the fleece into wool.
Denny also gave a knitting demonstration for the children and showed them several articles made out of wool , like the one she is wearing.
Thank you so much Deny for educating both the children and staff.
