Now is the time to have your say to help shape the future of Disability Sport.

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) invites you to complete a survey that will help shape the development of a national Disability Sport Action Plan.

The more responses the better, to showcase what works well as well as highlight the challenges and barriers that are still prevalent.

We encourage all to respond to the survey through the QR code on the post or through: https://uniofqueensland.syd1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cSZikVVQZTM1OPI

A huge congratulations to Rebound WA Life Member and former Board Chair, Elizabeth "Libby" Woods, on being recognised as a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours List.

Libby served on the Rebound WA Board for an outstanding 13 years, including seven years as Board Chair. Throughout that time, she played a significant role in guiding Rebound WA's growth and development, helping shape the organisation into what it is today. Her commitment to supporting physical disability sport and recreation has had a lasting impact on both Rebound WA and the wider community.

Over the years, Libby has been involved in numerous fundraising activities for Rebound WA including frequent City Showcase events, leading the WA Magistrates team, and taking part in both our wheelchair and skydive challenges. Libby also continues to compete in our Monday night State Wheelchair Basketball League as a member of MTP in B Grade.

Thank you, Libby, for your years of service, leadership, generosity, and unwavering support of Rebound WA. Congratulations on this well deserved recognition. We are delighted to see your contribution acknowledged in this way.

Our Whiz Kidz and Spinners braved the storm last weekend to make it down to the final sessions for Term 1!

We played some basketball to conclude an action packed term, featuring some incredible activities, including a trip to South Perth foreshore to do some paddling on the river.

A massive thank you to Telethon and Healthway, for their support of the program and the act belong commit message, supporting a mentally healthy WA. Being active and healthy is such a good way to stay mentally healthy and the community element at our consistent programs creates a really strong support network for families and participants.

Our Whiz Kidz have had an incredible start to the year, with sports galore, we even had a chance to do a paddle session on the Swan River!

A massive thank you to our volunteers who run the sessions on Saturday mornings, providing kids aged 5-12 with an opportunity to participate in wheelchair sports every week. As well as a massive thank you to Healthway and the Act Belong Commit message, without their support the program would not be possible.

Last Friday Night! What an amazing evening.

Thank you to all our vendors, players, and everyone who came down to be part of showcasing Para Sport as part of the Para Sport Festival 2026. It was fantastic to see the community come together, try new sports, and celebrate the inclusiveness and opportunities that Para Sport provides.

Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the support of so many people behind the scenes, and we’re grateful to everyone who helped make the night such a success.

A massive thank you to the City of Perth for supporting the event and helping bring the Para Sport Festival 2026 to life.

TODAY IS THE DAY, PARA SPORT FESTIVAL 2026 IS HERE!!

We are already busy setting up and we can't wait to see you here in just 7 hours time.

The final exhibitor for us to showcase are Bowls WA, who will be demonstrating one of the most inclusive sports out there. Bowls is one of the unique sports where there are no adaptations to the rules and sees people with a physical disability compete along side able bodied competitors. The use of a throwing arm is the only change, and the sport is completely wheelchair friendly.

We can't wait to welcome Bowls back to the Para Sport Festival, and we cant wait to see everyone here in 7 Hours Time!!

Thanks to the City of Perth for their support of the event.
