A big thank you to everyone who participated in our recent Water Safety Awareness Program presented by Surf life saving New South Wales. It was wonderful to see families, students, and community members come together to learn important water safety skills and awareness practices.
The program highlighted importance of FLAGS

✅ Find the red and yellow flags and swim between them
✅ Look for safety signs, read and obey them
✅Ask a lifeguard for safety advice
✅Go swimming with an adult
✅Signal for help if you get into trouble in water

Your enthusiasm and participation helped make the event meaningful and successful. Together, we are building a safer and more informed community.
Special thanks to Presenter Mike Anderson, Community leaders, MRNC executive team, volunteers and supporters who made this program possible. 💙
Please continue sharing water safety knowledge with your family and friends — awareness can save lives.

Thank you voice Australia for your kind Iftar invitation!! Iftar is the evening meal that Muslims eat to break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan. Iftar is not just about eating—it’s a moment of reflection, gratitude, and community.
It was humbling to see community leaders, councillors, and representatives come together to celebrate this event.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic events at Bondi Beach last Sunday. Our thoughts are with the victims, the injured, and their families.

The Macarthur Region Nepalese Community stands in solidarity with all communities. Violence has no place in our society. We thank the first responders and members of the public for their courage and compassion, and we stand together in unity during this difficult time.

Macarthur Region Nepalese Community (MRNC) was delighted to welcome new members at a grand community BBQ held at Pembroke Park. The event provided a warm and inclusive platform for members to connect, share ideas, and strengthen MRNC’s collective vision of building a stronger and more engaged community.

Looking ahead, MRNC is committed to delivering meaningful community-focused initiatives. A Water Safety Program is planned for mid-February, aimed at improving awareness and practical skills for families and individuals. This will be followed by a Mental Health Program in mid-May, focusing on wellbeing, awareness, and access to support services.

In line with good governance and transparency, MRNC’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in mid-Jan 2026 providing members with the opportunity to reflect on achievements, discuss future plans, and contribute to the organisation’s direction.

Together, these initiatives reflect MRNC’s ongoing commitment to community wellbeing, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

MRNC Recognised at Liverpool City Council’s Celebrate and Elevate Program

Macarthur Region Nepalese Community (MRNC) was honoured to be acknowledged at Liverpool City Council’s Celebrate and Elevate program, where all recent grant recipients were recognised for their contributions to the region.

During the ceremony, the Council highlighted MRNC’s role in promoting multiculturalism and cultural understanding through events such as the annual Teej festival. Our organisation was commended for creating opportunities that bring people together, celebrate cultural identity, and enhance community connections in Liverpool.

This recognition reflects how MRNC’s work contributes not only to the Nepalese-Australian community but also to Liverpool’s broader vision of being a vibrant, inclusive, and connected city. The Council’s support further strengthens our resolve to continue delivering meaningful initiatives that build stronger, healthier, and more united communities.

Thank you Liverpool Council.

The Macarthur Region Nepalese Community (MRNC) extends its deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and to all those injured in the recent protests in Nepal. The loss of young lives is a tragedy that has deeply saddened our community, and we share in the grief of the nation.

MRNC strongly condemns all forms of violence and the destruction of historic monuments and records, which are part of Nepal’s shared identity. We urge all concerned parties to exercise restraint and commit to peaceful dialogue to resolve differences through democratic means.

In this critical moment, MRNC welcomes the appointment of the newly elected Prime Minister, Sushila Karki. We hope her leadership will bring peace and stability, address the legitimate demands of Generation Z, and ensure that upcoming elections are inclusive and democratic.

Our sincere hope is that Nepal now follows a path of unity and prosperity, where corruption is tackled, voices of the people are respected, and the sacrifices made are honoured by building a just and fair society.
