Urgent works are being undertaken on the Pipeworks Bridge, starting Tuesday 1 September and it will be closed between 8 am and 4 pm daily, while works are under way.

Urgent bridge works for Pipemakers Park Footbridge 🚧

Pipemakers Park Footbridge will be closed on weekdays between 8am and 4pm for urgent deck works. City of Maribyrnong will begin works on Tuesday, 1 September and are expected to take approximately two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

The bridge will be open as normal outside of work hours to help walkers and riders continue their journeys 🚲

While works are taking place during the day, walkers and riders can detour via Raleigh or Fisher Parade bridges.

MEMBER WIZARD- is on the way! We are working towards a new membership system and a new website ready for the next round of renewals and enrolments. While this is happening, there will be NO ACCESS TO ENROLMENTS AND MEMBERSHIP FUNCTIONS FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER. The website (everything but membership part) and Facebook posts will still be happening and you will be receiving updates and information about the new system via email, website and Facebook.

It is a big process but will be worth it!

TAA Museum

25 years after TAA’s commencement in 1946, the TAA 25 Year Club was founded in 1972 by employees with 25 years continuous service, with the inaugural President being TAA’s then General Manager – Capt. Frank Ball, and the Committee was made up of Directors of TAA.

The 25 Year Club then started the beginnings of the TAA Museum to ensuring future generations can experience the types of aircraft, memorabilia, uniforms, photographs, and personal stories that shaped TAA.

All the memorabilia belongs to the TAA 25 Year Club members. Our patron (Qantas) supports the 25 Year Club with the Museum building and services as TAA’s history is intrinsically part of Qantas when the two airlines, owned by the Federal Government, merged in 1982.
