Happy Speech Pathology week!

This years theme is...
💬 Communication creates possibility

Communication can sometimes be challenging, but with the right support, people can find ways to express themselves, connect with others and have their voices heard.

Speech pathologists can support people with aphasia to communicate in ways that work for them, helping them to:

- Connect with others
- Express their thoughts and feelings
- Make choices and have their voice heard
- Participate in everyday life
- Do the things that matter to them

Communication is more than words. It creates opportunities for connection, choice and participation.

Match the Momentum: Unite for Aphasia Awareness

The Match the Momentum campaign is raising funds to help build a stronger, more connected global aphasia community.

At our last community event, we asked the Victorian aphasia community:

“What is one thing you would like to see happen in the next 10 years?”

The answer was clear:
“We want more people to know about aphasia.”

The Match the Momentum campaign is an opportunity to help make this happen.

Every donation helps raise awareness and create positive change for people living with aphasia.

🎯 We have until the end of June to reach our target.

The Tavistock Trust for Aphasia have pledged $72,958 towards a global aphasia awareness campaign... if we can match their contribution, dollar for dollar. We need your help to match the momentum and make aphasia awareness a reality!
