***Bee Workshop***

It was all ‘a buzz’ down at the garden for our bee workshop this morning!

John from Harvest ME spoke animatedly about the more commonly known European ‘honey bees’, and the astonishingly less commonly known native Australian bees of which there are many, many, species right under our noses!

What was a particular highlight of the workshop was the fun and interactive bee hotel making activity where participants learnt how to craft a take home bee hotel from a coffee mug, some bamboo, and some string!

A big thanks to everyone who attended, our awesome volunteers, and Kwinana Industries Council for sponsoring the workshop!

***Bee Workshop***

Call out to all you Bee enthusiasts!

We have a fantastic bee workshop coming up on Saturday 30th May at the Garden!

John from Harvest ME will be hosting a workshop on Native bees, European Bees, Bee hotels, and participants can even make their very own DIY Bee hotel to take home!

Workshop Members $5 for materials
Non-Members $10 including materials

Payment can be made on the day!

*****kids Plant Propagation workshop***

We had a great time down at the garden for our kids plant propagation workshop this morning!

A small but eager group of budding little green thumbs got their hands in the dirt and were able to pot up their very own baby plant to take home!

From Geranium, pig face, Vinca, Lavender, Aeonium , and even some tiny vegetable seeds, there was plenty to choose from!

We hope everyone had a great time and we trust you’ll look after your new baby plants until their big enough to plant in your garden at home!

A big thanks to everyone who attended, our volunteers who helped set up/pack up and our sponsor Kwinana Industries Council for making these workshops possible!
