It was lovely having the Ginga team join us at our NeuroBox community event! We love connecting with local services who are creating opportunities for our community to learn, connect and build confidence.

Ginga offers Capoeira classes that combine movement, music, coordination and social skills in a fun environment.

Let’s talk about ADHD stereotypes. 🧡

ADHD is often reduced to being distracted, hyperactive or unable to sit still.

But ADHD can look very different from person to person.

It can look like procrastination.
Forgetting things you genuinely meant to remember.
Knowing exactly what needs to be done but not being able to start.
Hyperfocusing for hours.
Feeling completely overwhelmed by things that seem “easy” to everyone else.

And sometimes, you can’t see the struggle at all.

ADHD isn’t always what you think it looks like.

This month, we’re looking beyond the stereotypes.

It can affect executive functioning, emotional regulation, working memory, sensory experiences, motivation, relationships and everyday life.

This month, NeuroBox will be sharing information, lived experiences and conversations designed to build understanding, reduce stigma and remind our community that ADHD looks different for everyone.

Awareness matters. Understanding matters. Support matters.
