The paradox of noise. When the world feels too loud but creating their own sounds helps them regulate, it is all part of the journey. Share with us if your child does this too. We are building a community space for carers and neurodivergent kids to find support.

Hello to our new followers,

I'm Jasmin the Social Media Manager of NeuroBox, a new community-focused initiative based in Logan that is passionate about creating a world where neurodivergent individuals feel genuinely understood, respected, included, and supported.

NeuroBox is currently in its foundation-building stage, developing neuro-affirming resources, educational content, advocacy tools, and community supports for neurodivergent people, families, carers, and allies.

Our goal is simple:

🌿 Make information easier to understand

🌿 Reduce overwhelm

🌿 Build community connections

🌿 Create practical, neuro-affirming resources

🌿 Help people feel seen, supported, and valued

We're not currently offering one-to-one services, but we're working hard behind the scenes to build resources and programs that will support our community into the future.

If you'd like to follow our journey, we'd love to have you along as we grow.

💜 NeuroBox

Transitioning between tasks isn’t laziness — it’s a neurological shift. Your brain needs time to switch gears. That pause you take? It’s not procrastination. It’s regulation.

Rest doesn’t have to be big or structured.
Sometimes it’s:

• sitting in the car for two minutes
• staring at a wall
• breathing with your hand on your chest
• doing nothing on purpose

Your nervous system counts it.
Small rest is real rest.

Hello June 🌼

As we step into a new month, we’re holding tight to the values that guide every part of NeuroBox:

✨ Neuro‑affirming support
✨ Lived‑experience leadership
✨ Gentle, safe, inclusive spaces
✨ Community over perfection
✨ Accessibility and understanding for every brain

We’re still building quietly behind the scenes — but we’re so excited for what this month brings.
More connection. More clarity. More community.

This is the beginning of something special for Logan.

Ever feel like navigating the system for your neurodivergent child requires a whole new university degree?

Between the paperwork, the appointments, and the confusing terminology, it is completely normal to feel overwhelmed. Carers do incredible work every single day, but you should not have to figure it all out alone.

That is exactly why NeuroBox is being built.

Right now, behind the scenes in our establishing phase, our team is working hard to create a supportive space specifically for families here in Queensland. We want to help you cut through the noise, understand your options, and find your community without the extra stress.

If you are feeling the pressure today, take a deep breath. You are doing a wonderful job, and your efforts matter.

We are so glad you are on this journey with us from the very beginning.

What is one thing about navigating support systems that feels trickiest for your family right now? Let us know in the comments.

🌈 Help Us Create an Inclusive Community Space 💜💚

NeuroBox is excited to be hosting a FREE neurodivergent-friendly community event in partnership with Bethania Community Centre on 17/06/2026.

Our goal is to create a safe, sensory-friendly and neuro-affirming environment where neurodivergent children, teens, adults and their carers can connect through creativity, sensory play, tinkering and regulation activities.

To help make this event possible, we are currently seeking donations of supplies including:
🧩 LEGO/building bricks
🎨 Craft & colouring supplies
🪀 Sensory toys & fidgets
📦 Cardboard boxes & tubes
💻 Broken electronics for safe deconstruction activities
🛋 Quiet space items such as cushions, beanbags & blankets
♻️ Clean recyclables and sensory play “bits & bobs”

Donations can be dropped off at Bethania Community Centre — please just let them know the items are for NeuroBox 😊

As a new community initiative, every donation makes a huge difference and helps us keep this event free and accessible for local families.

Thank you for supporting NeuroBox and helping us build a more inclusive community 🌈

POV: You know something feels different…
but you’re still waiting for answers.

Waiting lists.
Appointments.
Second guessing yourself.
Feeling overwhelmed while trying to hold everything together.

And sometimes the hardest part is wondering if anyone else understands what this feels like.

Here’s your reminder:

You do NOT need a diagnosis to deserve support.
You do NOT need to “wait until it gets worse.”
And you are not failing because parenting feels harder than you expected.

If your child experiences the world differently, your feelings are valid too.

At NeuroBox, we believe families deserve connection, understanding, and safe spaces — before, during, and after diagnosis.

You are not alone in this. 💜

Where do you start when you’re noticing differences?
You don’t need a diagnosis to begin; you just need connection.
Early support is about understanding your child and finding people who walk beside you, not fix them.

In Logan, gentle help is already here:
🌱 The Benevolent Society Early Years Centers
🌱 YFS Family Support
🌱 Child Health Nurses
🌱 Logan Libraries – First 5 Forever

No referral. No pressure. Just people who listen.
Your child isn’t behind — they’re becoming who they are.
And you’re doing the brave thing by noticing early.
