We’ve been a little quiet on social media lately, but there’s still plenty happening behind the scenes at WPI!

Last night, our extended Management Committee (minus Elvira, Rose and Cyprian) came together for one of our regular meetings to catch up, share updates and continue planning what’s ahead for our community 🌍

We’re still here, still working together, and looking forward to sharing more with you all soon. Stay tuned for our next Made in Logan community event coming this November πŸ’ƒπŸΏπŸ‘—πŸŽ΅

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating the completion of our Money Matters Program!

Over the past six months, refugee, migrant, and culturally diverse women have built practical financial skills and confidence through workshops and one-on-one mentoring. From budgeting and saving to understanding payslips, superannuation, and planning for the future, participants have gained knowledge that will benefit themselves and their families for years to come.

A heartfelt thank you to Amanda Hargreaves and Rosie from Amarose Accounting, Mimi Ngoviky and Karen Bowden from Good Shepherd, and Jenny Schoemaker from Bendigo Bank for generously sharing your time, knowledge, and support throughout the program.

We also sincerely thank the Queensland Government Office for Women for funding this important initiative and making it possible.

Together, we're empowering women, strengthening families, and building stronger communities πŸ’™

Yesterday, a wonderful group of our women came to WPI for our Money Matters workshop hosted by Amanda and Rosie from Amarose AccountingπŸ’°

Together, we explored practical ways to build confidence with money, including creating a simple budget, understanding the difference between needs and wants, organising finances into different bank accounts, spending smarter, and how small savings can grow over time.

A heartfelt thank you to Amanda and Rosie for generously sharing their knowledge and delivering such an engaging, practical workshop. We are so grateful for your time and for empowering the women in our community with skills that will benefit them for years to come πŸ’™

Thank you to everyone who attended. We can't wait to see you at our next workshop πŸ‘πŸΎ
