19th September 11:00am - 6:00pm
Join us for our Station Open Day full of kids activities. This is a great opportunity to explore the station, see our fire trucks and learn how to prepare your home and family for the bush fire season.

HAZARD REDUCTION BURN - SEVENTH AVE

Crews have now commenced burning at the Seventh Avenue hazard reduction, the burn is expected to continue for the next few hours.

A reminder for nearby residents to keep doors and windows closed.

Only call 000 if you see an unattended fire, smoke will be visible from this burn.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED HAZARD REDUCTION | LLANDILO

Please be advised that NSWRFS crews are planning to undertake Hazard Reduction (HR) burning, weather permitting, at the following location this week.

Location: Seventh Ave Llandilo
Day: Saturday 15th August 2026
This hazard reduction burn is approximately 1ha in size.

As the prescribed burn will generate smoke, hot embers and heat, it is important that you consider the following:
• Keep doors and windows closed to prevent smoke entering homes;
• Keep outdoor furniture under cover to prevent ember burns;
• Retract pool covers to prevent ember damage;
• Remove washing from clotheslines;
• Ensure pets have a protected area;
• If you are driving a vehicle, slow down, keep windows up and turn headlights on; and
• If you have asthma or a lung condition, reduce outdoor activities. If smoke levels are high and if shortness of breath or coughing develops, take your reliever medicine or seek medical advice

This year, Llandilo Rural Fire Brigade is teaming up with Orchard Hills Brigade for a fun filled community open day.

Bring the family along for an interactive day packed with activities for the kids, emergency service displays and the chance to get up close to our fire trucks and a range of equipment.

You’ll also have the opportunity to learn how to prepare your home and family for the upcoming bushfire season which runs from October 2026 - March 2027.

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, supported by the NSW Rural Fire Service, are conducting the Nutans Hazard Reduction at the Agnes Banks Nature Reserve on Sunday 2 and Monday 3 August 2026.

As the prescribed burn will generate smoke, hot embers and heat, it is important that residents in the nearby area consider the following:
- Keep doors and windows closed to prevent smoke entering homes;
- Keep outdoor furniture under cover to prevent ember burns;
- Retract pool covers to prevent ember damage;
- Remove washing from clotheslines;
- Ensure pets have a protected area;
- If you are driving a vehicle, slow down, keep windows up and turn headlights on; and

🚨Aus Alert Testing Today - 2pm AEST

Today, Monday 27 July, your mobile devices, such as mobile phones, tablets and smart watches, may receive a test alert.
The test times across NSW are.
2:00 pm AEST
1:30 pm ACST (Broken Hill NSW)

The message will vibrate and include a loud, siren-like sound that lasts about 10 seconds.
If this could disrupt you or cause you or a loved one to feel unsafe, please turn off your mobile devices or switch them to aeroplane mode before the scheduled test time in your location, and leave them off for at least one hour.
As this is just a test, you don’t need to do anything, but in an actual disaster you should follow the alert instructions to keep yourself and others safe.

LAND SEARCH - 23/07/26

A hive of activity this morning at Llandilo RFS station as a number of SES, NSW Police, RFS and NPWS crews assembled to be briefed before heading out to search for missing women Pamela.

Earlier this morning, Llandilo and Londonderry Rural Fire Brigade along with crews from Fire And Rescue NSW were alerted to a report of an explosion in the Llandilo area.

On investigation it was evident that a column of smoke was coming from further away, crews estimated this to be between Ropes Crossing and Jordan Springs. Fire and Rescue NSW Station 078 Ropes Crossing found a truck fire on the connector road and commenced extinguishing the fire with assistance from RFS.

The incident is being investigated by Nepean Police Area Command.
