The Lions Club of Sydney Indian was privileged to host Mr Jay Raman, Founder of Sri Om Care, as the Guest Speaker at our Annual General Meeting.
Mr Raman delivered an insightful and engaging presentation on Aged Care, highlighting the importance of supporting our ageing population with dignity, compassion, and quality care.
Members greatly appreciated the opportunity to learn from his extensive experience and expertise. We sincerely thank Mr Jay Raman for sharing his knowledge, experiences, and vision with our members. His presentation was both informative and inspiring, reinforcing the values of service and community care that Lions proudly uphold.

🌟 Welcoming New Lions to Our Family! 🌟

The Lions Club of Sydney Indian is delighted to announce the successful induction of two new members, Lion Vidya Tara and Lion Rajeev Shirodkar, during our Annual General Meeting.

The induction ceremony was a proud and memorable occasion, symbolising a shared commitment to community service, leadership, and the Lions motto, "We Serve." Their membership brings new energy, diverse experiences, and a passion for making a positive difference in our community.

We extend our warmest welcome to Lion Vidya Tara and Lion Rajeev Shirodkar and look forward to working together on projects that support health awareness, community wellbeing, and humanitarian service.

A special thank you to our Zone Chairperson, senior Lions, and members who participated in the induction ceremony and made the occasion truly meaningful.

Together, we continue to grow stronger, serve better, and create a lasting impact in our community.

The Lions Club of Sydney Indian proudly conducted its Annual General Meeting on 9 August 2026 at Haveli Function Centre, Blacktown.
The AGM was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on a year of service, growth, and community impact. Members reviewed the Club's achievements, adopted annual reports, and confirmed the office bearers who will lead the Club for the 2026-2027 Lions Year.
During the year, our Club successfully delivered and supported several meaningful community initiatives, including:
✅ Diabetes Awareness and Community Health Programs in partnership with JET Australia
✅ Metabolic Wellness and Diabetes Awareness Program in collaboration with CMRC Parramatta and JET Australia
✅ Glamour for Goodness Project supporting community wellbeing and social inclusion
✅ Participation in the Mother's Day Classic Parramatta, supporting breast and ovarian cancer awareness and research
✅ Continued growth in membership and community engagement
We were also delighted to welcome and recognise our new members, whose enthusiasm and commitment will further strengthen our ability to serve the community.
A special thank you to our Senior Lion Ron Gattone, Zone Chairperson Lion Sarath Pamidiparthi, Past District Governor Lion Mohan Nanayakkara and Guest Speaker Jay Raman ,distinguished guests, community partners, and all members who contributed to the success of the Club throughout the year. Your dedication to service continues to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
As we commence the new Lions Year, we look forward to expanding our community service initiatives, building stronger partnerships, and creating even greater impact through our shared commitment to the Lions motto:

LCSI member Lion Vidya volunteered on Mother's Day 10 May 2026 at Parramatta Park to raise awareness and raise funds for breast and ovarian cancer research. We are incredibly proved of Lion Vidya for involving herself in this noble cause.

Dr Manimegalai Manoharan delivering a talk on the prevention of Diabetes at Diabetes Awareness Forum organised by Lions Club of Sydney Indian and JET Australia Foundation on 22 March 2026.

Dr Manimegalai Manoharan is a senior consultant Endocrinologist in Liverpool and Fairfield Hospital. She is conjoint senior lecturer in University of New South Wales and Western Sydney University. She has strong interest in improving the diabetes prevention in core community level. She is also the vice president of non profit organisation Healthy Living Toongabbie"
