Lions Club of Cambridge Park inc, NSW Meet at the Henry Sports Club, Henry Lawson Ave, Werrington County.
2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month We have had great success with youth projects.

Cambridge Park is located in the City of Penrith, NSW, west of Sydney CBD near the banks of the Nepean River. The Cambridge Park Lions Club was charted on 24 July 1979 and we serve the community in the following suburbs Cambridge Park, Werrington, Werrington Downs, Werrington County, Kingswood, Claremont Meadows and Cranebrook, Jordan Springs, St Marys, St Clair, Erskine Park and Caddens. Our club

is actively seeking new men and women members who are looking for the opportunity to serve their community through the various projects and charitable programs that we support. We invite community minded men and women to come and join our club. We aim to help not only the people in our own area, but those less fortunate in other countries through our Vision Screening Project, Diabetes and Hearing Awareness. Our current activities include:

•Youth of the Year Program
•Chocolate Wheel at Penrith Plaza (currently on hold)
•Hunger project - Food hampers for families in need.
•Food drives for Penrith Community Kitchen, Mama Lana's and Western Sydney University International students
•Equipment for Nepean Hospital
•Covid care packages
•International Women's Day events
•Health forums
•Assisting at Penrith and Hawkesbury Shows
•Charity Events
•BBQ's
•Banga Smile project
•Twinning with Lions Club Trangie (county NSW) and Lions Club of Wellawatta West, Coloombo, Sri Lanka

Today the Lions Club of Cambridge Park and the Lions Club of Nepean spent the day cooking up a tasty BBQ for the Nepean District Historical Society’s annual open day. Many thanks to all the volunteers that made it such a successful day giving service to our local community. Cambridge Park Lions Club proudly hosted the Lions Youth of the Year program club final on Sunday, February 23rd, at The Henry Sports Club in Werrington County.

The event featured an interview with a panel of judges, followed by a public speaking competition. Emily Filewood from Glenmore Park High School was named the overall winner, while Rukudzo Chikweche from Mamre Anglican School received the Public Speaking Award.
Emily will now go forward to the Area final which will be held in Penrith next weekend.
We extend our best wishes to Emily as she progresses in the Lions Youth of the Year.
