📣 ARTIST ALERT 🎤

We are so excited to announce Street Warriors will be joining us for Western Sydney's COOEE Festival 2026!

Street Warriors are Aboriginal hip hop pioneers and founding members of the groundbreaking group Local Knowledge. Made up of brothers Abie and Wok, the duo have been influential voices in Australian hip hop since the early 2000s, using music to share powerful stories, culture and community experiences.

Throughout their career, Street Warriors have achieved significant milestones, including winning multiple Deadly Awards, being recognised as Band of the Year on multiple occasions, and becoming the first Aboriginal hip hop group ever to perform on Triple J Live at the Wireless. They have also performed at major festivals including Woodford Folk Festival, Dreamtime at the G and Yabun Festival, sharing stages with international artists such as 50 Cent, T-Pain and Naughty By Nature.

Celebrating more than two decades of music and impact, Street Warriors continue to honour culture, community and storytelling through their performances, inspiring generations of Aboriginal hip hop artists across Australia.

We hope you mob are just as excited as we are to see this deadly duo on the COOEE Festival mainstage! 🖤💛❤️

A huge thank you to -Up NSW for your incredibly kind donation of Aboriginal children’s books to Bennett Road Public School. We are so grateful for your generosity and for helping us strengthen our school library with books that celebrate Aboriginal cultures, stories, histories and perspectives.

Our students will absolutely love exploring and reading these wonderful new books in our library, and we are proud to provide our students with opportunities to connect with culture and learn through meaningful and engaging stories.

Link-Up (NSW) Aboriginal Corporation was founded in 1980 to assist all Aboriginal people who had been directly affected by past government policies; being separated from their families and culture through forced removal, being fostered, adopted or raised in institutions.

Link-Up (NSW) supports the healing journeys of those removed; delivering professional, culturally sensitive and confidential research, reunions and Social, Emotional and Wellbeing services to those over the age of eighteen.

Today, on International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, we celebrate the strength, resilience and rich cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year's theme, honouring Indigenous midwives, recognises the vital role they have played, and continue to play, in nurturing life, preserving cultural knowledge, and supporting the health and wellbeing of our communities across generations.

At Link-Up (NSW) Aboriginal Corporation, we are honoured to walk alongside Stolen Generations survivors and their families, supporting reconnection to family, Country, culture and community. Today is a reminder of the importance of preserving Indigenous knowledge, honouring our Elders, and ensuring our stories continue to be shared for generations to come.
