A big thank you to Emily, staff, and students from Blacktown Girls High School for their amazing Book Week book drive! 🎉📖

Together, they donated an incredible 183 books to Paint Mt Druitt REaD ❤️📚
These books will now be shared throughout the Mt Druitt community, giving local children and families the opportunity to enjoy stories, build literacy skills, and develop a love of REaDing. 🌈📘✨

At The Hive, we have been proud to be a local coordinator for the Imagination Library in 2770, helping connect local families with this wonderful program.

🌈📦 Never underestimate the power of a cardboard box! Last week, our leftover boxes became vehicles for creativity, imagination, and fun.

Using blocks, bubble wrap, crayons, and chalk paint, our children transformed simple boxes into extraordinary creations. There was so much imagination, creativity, and problem-solving on display!

✨ Through box play, children explored, created, built, and pretended together. Activities like these support imagination, social connections, language development, creative thinking, and confidence.

💛 It's amazing to see how children can turn an everyday object into something truly extraordinary. Sometimes, the simplest resources inspire the biggest adventures!

👕 Dress your child in old clothes for messy play activities.
✅ Sign yourself and your child in upon arrival.
🪙 A $2 gold coin donation is appreciated, but not mandatory!
📸 Taking photos or videos is not permitted. This includes FaceTime and other video calling applications.
🍎 No need to bring food. We provide a healthy morning tea.
📚 Stay until the end of the session for storytime!

📚✨ After counting every single one, Rooby Roo discovered an amazing 292 books! 🎉

These fantastic books will now find new homes in Rooby Roo's swap boxes across the Mt Druitt area, where they can be enjoyed by many children and families ❤️😊

This week Mary is sharing her favourite way to unwind and relax ☀️🌦️🌈 🌱 🌳

🌿💚 I always relax and find peace in my garden. Watching things grow 🌱 gives me a clear sense of purpose, pride, and personal satisfaction.

🤲 Feeling the soil, smelling fresh flowers 🪻🌷, and hearing the sounds of nature 🐦 naturally helps my mind slow down and stay in the present moment. 🍃✨

☀️ I always feel less stressed after spending time outdoors. The winter sunshine 🌞, with its vitamin D, is so beneficial for my wellbeing. Gardening also provides regular physical activity 🌿, which helps keep me healthy and active. 💚

👀🐾 Can anyone spot the possum amongst the ‘old man’s beard’? 👀🐾
