🎉🌈 Children’s Week 2026 🌈🎉

Today marks the start of Children’s Week (24 October - 1 November) ❤️👧👦

This Children’s Week, we celebrate every child's right to learn, grow, play and thrive.

🌈 Every child deserves to feel safe, valued and heard
📚 Every child deserves opportunities to learn and explore
🤝 Every child deserves caring connections and supportive communities
🎨 Every child deserves time to play, create and imagine
✨ Every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential

❤️ Let's come together to celebrate the unique strengths, talents and voices of all children ❤️

This year's theme highlights Article 30 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC): ❤️ Children have the right to use their own language, celebrate their culture and practise their religion ❤️

❤️ Together, we can help create communities where every child feels a sense of belonging, identity and pride ❤️

❤️💙💚💛🧡💜

🎒📚❣️Play2Learn School REaDiness ❣️🎒📚

Is your little one starting Kindergarten next year?

Join us at Play2Learn Playgroup, where we’re helping children build the confidence, independence, and social skills they need for a positive start to school through our Play2Learn School Readiness activities.

Through play-based learning, children have opportunities to:
❣️Develop friendships and build positive social skills
❣️ Grow in confidence and independence
❣️ Learn to follow routines and simple instructions
❣️ Strengthen early literacy and numeracy foundations
❣️ Explore emotions and build resilience
❣️Practise self-help skills such as managing belongings, washing hands, and opening lunch boxes

We know that starting school is a big milestone for both children and families. The BACC team is here to support you every step of the way, making the transition to Kindergarten a positive and exciting experience. Chat to one of our friendly Play2Learn facilitators for more transition to school activity ideas you can do at home with your child.

Because school readiness is not about knowing everything before school starts, it's about building the confidence to learn, explore and thrive. ❣️🎒📚

❣️🎒 Learning through play today, ready for school tomorrow! ❣️🎒

❤️ Keeping Kids Safe Week ❤️

❤️ Our Neighbourhood
❤️ Our Kids
❤️Our Responsibility

Anglicare, BACC, Bidwill Uniting – Together in Bidwill, and Junaya Aboriginal Corporation joined with local families for a fun-filled afternoon celebrating children's safety, wellbeing, and the joy of REaDing.

📚 Families enjoyed REaDing activities, games, and yummy snacks, while children had the opportunity to choose from a range of free books to take home.

🦘 A special highlight of the day was a visit from our much-loved REaDing friend, Rooby Roo, who brought plenty of smiles and excitement when she joined in kicking the ball! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who attended and to our wonderful partners for helping make this community event such a success. Together, we can continue creating safe, supportive, and connected communities for our children ❤️. ✨
