We are incredibly proud to have Deb as the President of the Lennox Head Evening VIEW Club. But, it's just one of the many hats she puts on.

This month marks her retirement from a remarkable and dedicated 20-year career in midwifery.

Throughout her journey, Deb has touched countless lives, and she leaves behind a team and unit in NSW that are stronger, more compassionate, and better because of her leadership, wisdom, and unwavering support.

Click the link in the post for her full story.

After 20 years supporting women and families, Deb has retired from the role of Midwifery Unit Manager of our Midwifery Group Practice. It's a job that brought her into so many families' lives across Northern NSW.

Deb's last day with us landed exactly two decades after she first began. She didn’t plan it, yet the timing offered symmetry in a career shaped by unexpected turns and brave decisions.

Many people in our region know her steady presence.

She’s walked beside women during life-changing moments and guided midwives as they found their confidence in demanding roles.

Her care lives on in homes where babies have grown and in midwifery teams who learned from her patience and strength.

💬 “I would do it again in a heartbeat,” she said. “Nursing and midwifery can take you around the world. For me, it brought me home.”

There’s so much more to Deb’s journey, and you can read it here: https://nnswlhd.health.nsw.gov.au/news/profile-debs-career-nirvana.

Thank you, Deb, for helping strengthen midwifery in Northern NSW. The care you delivered will continue to shape lives for years to come.
