A great day today with members from various portfolios either catching up on the latest or in a couple of cases - John Cvetko on Member Services and Craig Sheppard on UAV's - driving the branch wide conversation. The flags go up in just few weeks, Killy is locked and loaded!

Today we welcome 150+ members from across the Central Coast to Mingara for the very first SLSCC Combined Conference!

Bringing our clubs and members together for a day of connection, collaboration and sharing the latest updates across patrol, competition, education and more.

We’re excited to kick off what we hope will become a valuable annual event for the SLSCC community

Officially launched at our AGM on Saturday, our Strategic Plan to 2030. The plan deliberately aligns with the strategic plans of Surf Life Saving Central Coast and Surf Life Saving NSW so that we can ensure our goals align, we can leverage our combined strength and, in the spirit of a rising tide lifts all boats, make sure that our, and their goals are met.

There is of course a lot of detail underpinning each of our strategic pillars that our Directors are working toward, but you can see where we're focussed, what we'll do about it and how we'll measure our success. If you have ideas or want to get involved in achieving them, we'd love to hear from you.

Celebrating another incredible season at Killcare Surf Life Saving Club. ❤️💛

Yesterday's Annual General Meeting was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the season that was, celebrate our volunteers and recognise the people whose dedication continues to shape our club and community.

We were honoured to welcome Trevor Herd and his family, who travelled to revisit Killcare Beach more than 70 years after Trevor was rescued by Killcare surf lifesaver Adrian Murphy when a sandbank collapsed in 1955. His heartfelt story was a powerful reminder of the lasting impact surf lifesavers have on the lives of others and the incredible legacy of our club.

A special milestone was the official naming of the Jim Macfadyen Room, honouring a true giant of Killcare Surf Life Saving Club whose leadership, vision and service helped shape our club for generations to come.

A special thank you to our local Member for Terrigal, Adam Crouch MP, for joining us to present a number of our member recognitions. We are incredibly grateful for Adam's ongoing support of Killcare Surf Life Saving Club and the wider surf lifesaving community. His presence made these presentations even more meaningful, and we sincerely thank him for taking the time to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our members alongside us.

Congratulations to Therese Buckley, recognised for 10 years of outstanding service as Director of Finance, and to Tony Newton, Julia McEwen and Don Dennis, who were recognised for their National Medals. We also congratulate Zac Webb, honoured with the Premier's Flood Emergency Citation for his contribution during the NSW flood emergency response.

Congratulations also to our newest Life Members, Tony Newton and Luke Hayter, recognised for their exceptional commitment and service to Killcare Surf Life Saving Club.

We also acknowledge an important leadership transition. Thank you to Kurt Vella for his outstanding leadership as Club Captain and Director of Lifesaving. Kurt's dedication, professionalism and commitment have left a lasting impact on our club, and we're delighted he will continue to be part of our lifesaving team. We warmly welcome David Murphy as our new Club Captain and Director of Lifesaving and congratulate Jamie Ansell on his appointment as our first Youth Club Captain. We wish them both every success as they help lead Killcare SLSC into the new season.

To every member, volunteer, patrol member, trainer, official, age manager, committee member and supporter thank you. Your passion, commitment and community spirit are what make Killcare Surf Life Saving Club such a special place.

Here's to another safe, successful and memorable season ahead. 🌊❤️💛

Congratulations to our newest Life Members, Tony Newton and Luke Hayter.

In a unanimous vote at our AGM yesterday, Luke and Tony were awarded Life Membership for their dedication to the club. This is the highest honour the club can bestow and requires 15 years of distinguished service not just on the beach but in club management as well. Notably, Luke is the 3rd generation Life Member in his family and we believe our youngest ever.

Congratulations both, and thank you most sincerely for your service to the club, and the community.
