Junior Presentation this Saturday, presentation starting at 2pm. ( recommend arrival between 1.30-1.45pm)

All families welcome to attend, please remember space may be limited.
Presentation is aimed for Under 8s to Under 14s.
Any under 6s or 7s that missed their presentation are welcome to collect their certificates during this time period.

Way to go Ettalong Diggers and our Junior Lifesavers of the Year Piper and Will.

We want to extend a huge thankyou to Ettalong Diggers for their continued support of OBSLSC. They recently joined us for a cheque presentation from Kim Cole (Community & Tourism Manager) to our Junior Lifesavers of the Year winners Will Nash and Piper Lawerance.

These funds have gone towards the very important resources of our Club sound system and a new emergency alarm system to ensure that our community beachgoers and members remain safe.

Ettalong Diggers provide much needed funding and support to many community organisations and on behalf of Ocean Beach SLSC our President Mick Cairns wishes to extend our sincerest gratitude to the Ettalong Diggers Board and members for their community and beach Club support.

Good luck to our amazing OBSLSC competitors heading to the Australian Surf Lifesaving Championships to compete with our countries best lifesavers from 21-29 March on the Gold Coast. We are so proud that Ethan Best, Will Nash, David Nash, Kristy Best and Jason Tucker are representing OBSLSC at Aussies. They will be amongst more than 7,000 lifesaver competitors from 316 Surf Clubs!

SLSA and OBSLSC increasing awareness, understanding and support for neurodiversity

It's Neurodiversity Celebration Week, a time to challenge stereotypes and transform how neurodiverse people are perceived and supported.

SLSA is proud to provide the SLS Communication Board to clubs across the country. The Board is a tool for non-verbal beachgoers to effectively inform patrols of any issues or emergencies on the beach. The SLS Communication Board will also be set up at the upcoming Australian Surf Life Saving Championships to further assist with on beach communications.

From next season, SLS clubs will be be included as an item of equipment under the SLSA Inclusive Beaches Grant Program - stay tuned for information to come!

Congratulations to our all OB Juniors who competed and made it to the finals and podiums from the Age Championships. The competition was fierce from around NSW but your skills, dedication and team spirit made the day. You are amazing as Juniors repping our Club at The NSW State Championships and we couldn’t be happier for your success.
