A fantastic time was had at Grahamvale Sports Club’s two lawn bowls sessions with Brad and Mitch! Both sessions were a great success, and the kids had a wonderful opportunity to give lawn bowls a try.
A few of the kids had an excellent eye for lawn bowls - Brad & Mitch were excited to see lots of potential rolling in!

This Friday, the grade 3’s and 4’s will get to have Josh Thornton come to the school and share his personal experiences and talk about winning medals in lawn bowls at the Commonwealth Games. We’re looking forward to another great session!

As always, this program is only possible through the support from GMCU.

What a fantastic season for Grahamvale Sports Club! Our committee has just held its final meeting for the year, and we’re feeling incredibly proud of everything our players, coaches, families and volunteers have achieved together.

More than 120 students took part in soccer and netball, our netball teams celebrated two premierships, and nearly 70 students joined in the GMCU Play Program for the year. What a wonderful year of participation, teamwork, fun and community spirit!

A huge thank you to our committee and everyone who helped make the season such a success. Our committee work tirelessly to ensure all of our students have the best opportunity to participate in sport, whilst also having a fun time along the way.
We now bid a fond farewell to two of our wonderful members, Jess Sabri and Jane Doyle - thank you both so much.

We’re already looking forward to 2027, with plenty of exciting new ideas and initiatives in the works.

Bring on another great year at Grahamvale Sports Club!

This is our very final GMCU Play Program activity for the year…

Our next activity is one for the Grades 3 and 4’s!

💙💛💚 Lawn Bowls with Brad & Mitch! 💙💛💚

🌟This is also an extra exciting one, as at the completion of this program, the grades 3 and 4 will have a group session with Josh Thornton, a gold medalist for Australia in the para-lawn bowls open trials at the 2018 Commonwealth Games! 🌟

Details are below:

• What? Lawn Bowls - 2 Week Program
• Where? Held on the turf at school
• When? Starting Monday the 12th of October during first break (11:05AM to 11:35AM)
• No cost
• How? To register your child’s spot, please email the Sports Club with your child’s name, year level and teachers name: [email protected]

Important Notes: Spots are strictly limited. Before securing your spot, please ensure your child understands that the sessions are during their lunch break on a Monday and it is a 2 week program!

Come and Try! 🏊‍♀️

In case you missed the first session, the Shepparton Swimming Club are offering another Come and Try session on Tuesday the 13th of October.

The session will be held in the indoor OR outdoor pool for this session, depending on the temperature and whether AquaMoves has the outdoor pool up and running.

Please note, swimmers must be confident and competent in their swimming strokes.

What a fantastic way to wrap up the season! Our end-of-season breakup at Casablanca Restaurant was a great success. The kids had a wonderful time dancing, playing games and sharing delicious pizza together.

We’re so proud of every one of our players and all they’ve achieved this season. We’re also sad to say goodbye to our Grade 6 players as they move on, and we wish them all the very best for what’s ahead.

A huge thank you to our committee members, who worked tirelessly to make the afternoon and night such a great success, and to everyone who joined us for a fun and memorable celebration.

We’re already looking forward to seeing everyone again for the 2027 soccer and netball season!

A huge thank you to Dan and Jess from Resolute Gym who came and ran our most recent GMCU Play Program activity - Boxing for Fitness.

Dan’s energy, expertise and encouragement gave the kids an exciting opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and have plenty of fun.

Good luck to our U10’s Warriors soccer team who are competing in the Shepparton Junior Soccer Association U10’s Gala Day this coming Saturday.

We know everyone will do their personal best and have a lot of fun competing for the cup!

What an incredible day for the Grahamvale Sports Club!!! Both our Grahamvale Opals and Grahamvale Pearls have won their Grand Finals!

Final Scores:

Grahamvale Opals 23 def. Kialla West 13
Grahamvale Pearls 13 def. Saints 11

A huge congratulations to both teams on an outstanding achievement - your dedication, teamwork and determination have truly paid off, and you should all be incredibly proud of what you have accomplished.

We also acknowledge the commitment of the coaches, team managers, families, supporters and everyone who has cheered you on throughout the season. Netball is a team sport for a lot of reasons - it definitely takes a village! And we have such a wonderful village here at Grahamvale Sports Club.
