This page has been established to keep both members and non members updated on our clubs activities and to share our passion of lapidary. Whether you are a seasoned stone cutter, hobbyist or someone who just has a curiosity with gemstones, all are welcome to join our face book page. We hope that our club page encourages you to share your own stories, photos and experiences of your lapidary adventu
res. We are a social group with a like minded interest in gems, fossils and minerals. With many members volunteering to pass on their knowledge and skills, by running hands on classes covering a large range of topics within the lapidary field including:
*Silversmith work *Beading *Faceting *Bone Carving
*Cabochon *Wire wrapping *Jewellery making *Enamelling
The up to date workshop allows club members to enjoy designing, cutting and setting their own special piece of jewellery or polished gem. Many of the Shepparton & District Gem Club members also enjoy displaying their skills and workmanship, both within clubhouse competitions and club showcases displayed at varies rock and gem shows through out the year. Members are most welcome to work with their own material or alternatively members can purchase some “rough” (uncut stone) from the club. Starting from as little as 50cents a piece you will be sure to find a nice specimen to help you on your way. Why not drop by the clubhouse sometime and view the stonecutters in action. Clubrooms are open each:
Wednesday from 9.00am (unless previously specified)
1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9.00am. (unless previously specified)
Meetings are on the first Monday every month (excluding January)

Joining fee: $5 (one off fee)
12 month single: $35
12 month family: $50
Workshop fees (once membership has been registered)
Half day: $5
Full day: $8
