How confident are you that you are putting the correct things in your recycle bin? Come along to the U3A Centre Kallangur at 12 noon on Friday 12 June 2026, and see if you are right.

Recycling and Waste Management
Managing waste and protecting the environment is everyone’s responsibility. Discover how Council is managing waste and how you can engage with our local facilities to create a sustainable future. Find out what can go in the recycle bin for sorting and recycling, and why we need to recycle certain materials through retailers and mail-back program

Plastic Free July
Plastic Free July is a time to rethink our relationship with plastics and start making some changes. Learn how small changes reducing plastics, especially single or limited use, will make a big difference. We don't need a handful of people doing zero-waste perfectly; we need millions of people doing it imperfectly. This presentation will help you discover ideas to rethink single-use plastics in your home and community.
Presented by Moreton Bay City Council - Community Waste Education Program.
