We are sorry to hear of Georgina’s passing and sending our condolences to John, Debbie, Jess, the Cameron family and her friends.
Many of us will have had the pleasure of being in Georgina’s orbit over the years at cat shows & she will be greatly missed in the cat fancy.

It is with great sadness that Jessica and I share the news that our mum and Nana, Georgina Cameron, passed away yesterday, 25 October, at 2:00 pm. Her husband of 65 years, John, was with her until the very end.
Mum was involved in the cat fancy for more than 50 years. She was a Life Member of NSW CFA and a member of Cats NSW. She was a familiar and much-loved presence at cat shows, whether exhibiting, working behind the scenes, or simply enjoying the company of fellow fanciers.
Many of you will remember the sound of her little shoes clip-clopping across the wooden show floors. Others will remember her famous Supreme win at the Sydney Royal with her white Persian, Charlie. The painting of Charlie remains on display in the Royal Agricultural Society's Official Council Hall of Fame, recognising one of the Royal's winning exhibits. Charlie remains the only cat ever honoured in this way.
Mum loved her cats and was passionate about showing and breeding Persians. Over the years, she served on the executive committees of many cat clubs and worked tirelessly behind the scenes. In the days when shows attracted more than 300 entries, she took on the enormous task of processing show paperwork manually. Even recently, she never lost interest and always wanted to know what had happened after every show we attended. She was, and always will be, a proud cat fancier.
Mum was blessed with many wonderful friends throughout her life, particularly within the cat fancy community. On behalf of our family, thank you all for your kind wishes, prayers, friendship, and support throughout her journey.
We are in the early stages of planning a farewell to celebrate Mum's life and will share further details as they become available. Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts during this difficult time.
Rest in peace. You will be forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered. ❤️
