โœจ Building skills. Growing confidence. Creating opportunities.

Every new skill learned is a step toward greater independence. From daily routines and communication to decision-making and community participation, each achievement helps build confidence for the future.

At SALT Foundation, we believe growth happens through encouragement, patience, and meaningful supportโ€”empowering people to discover their strengths and pursue their goals at their own pace.

๐Ÿ’› Skills Today. Independence Tomorrow.

๐Ÿ“š World Day Against Child Labour

Last week, our team in India joined children and families from vulnerable communities to raise awareness about the importance of education and the impact of child labour.

Through powerful skits and conversations, children shared a simple but important message: every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.

Together, we can help create a world where children belong in classrooms, not workplaces. ๐Ÿฉต

Choosing the right provider is about more than services โ€” it's about safety, quality, and trust.

With thousands of NDIS Worker Screening Checks due to expire in 2026, now is the time for Support Coordinators to understand what should be verified before making referrals.

Our latest guide explains the upcoming changes and what they could mean for participants and providers alike.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Kind words from our community

When Moiz lost his vision, he thought his active life was over. Today, he's swimming at Brighton Beach, creating content for his YouTube channel, exploring Melbourne, and continuing to pursue the things he loves.

At SALT Foundation, we believe disability should never define what's possible. Through personalised support and genuine connection, we help participants build confidence, stay connected to their community, and achieve their goals.

Thank you, Moiz, for sharing your journey and allowing us to be part of it. ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ’› More than just an op shop.

When Melva first connected with Oldies & Goodies, she was looking for support during a difficult time. Today, she's one of our incredible volunteers, helping others feel welcome, valued, and connected.

"There's a lot of people that were struggling like I went through... now I help people, talk to them, and make them feel comfortable."

Stories like Melva's remind us that Oldies & Goodies is about more than pre-loved treasures. It's a place where friendships are formed, conversations happen, and community thrives.

Every item you buy or donate helps support disability services across Melbourne while helping create a space where people can connect and belong.

Big changes start with small steps.

A 10-minute walk. A few minutes of stretching. One healthy habit repeated each day.

Our latest blog explores how NDIS participants can build confidence, independence, and wellbeing through simple, sustainable movement routines that fit everyday life.

Because progress isn't about perfection โ€” it's about consistency.
