A not-fot-profit urban farm run by 3 young farmers on land behind Waratah Special Development School in Bellfield, Vic. Summer 2020 is our first season.

We are growing on the land of the Wurundjeri People.

This year Farm Raiser introduced a food vouchers system, so that people in our neighbourhood who are struggling to put food on the table can access fresh, healthy veggies, and our farmers are paid fairly. This means both the fund and food stays within the community.

I don't know if you heard the rumours ..

But they are true. Yes, there were sticky date puddings with hot butterscotch sauce (from a thermos) at the June bake sale.

There were also heaps of df, gf and vegan friendly things.. both sweet and savoury. 🍰🥐🥖

What could the July bake sale have in store?? Come along and find out and raise money for the 3 great causes we support each month.

You can also wander around the farm or join the 11am tour.

If you would like to contribute a baked thing please do! Drop off Friday all day or Saturday before 10am with an ingredient list 💕

Introducing our Good Food Voucher Program! Traditional food relief often falls short and people experiencing food insecurity can face shame, limited choice, and a lack of culturally relevant options.
Our voucher program allows individuals to choose fresh, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food in a way that promotes dignity, reduces stigma, and supports local growers.
This EOFY we are asking for your help by donating to support local families to have access to fresh, healthy food.
$50 = fresh food for a family for a week
$200 = fresh food for a family for one month
$500 = helps reach multiple households in our community

The first 5 months of the Good Food Voucher program has been a huge success, we've been blown away by the new connections we've made and the uptake in our community 🥦🥦

With demand for food relief increasing, the need for a local and personalised response is also growing 📈

Farm Raiser is a grassroots organisation, we fund the farm operations through selling our produce - so being able to provide food relief and get paid for our produce means we can support our community and keep the lights on.

We'll be patching and darning, just bring your garments, and any materials you have to patch and we'll show you the ropes
